  It's technically not non-canon....the 'canon' is approved by LA, however Bioware effectively created the entire setting so they wouldn't have to deal with the 'movie canon' (which would have been a little hard to make into an MMO - I mean how do they determine which of the two players on a server are going to be Sith  - not to mention every Jedi would have to be a descendant of Luke Sulkywalker - and I want none of that crap :D)

I don't know what all the trolling is about. The game is great and definitely better than anything on the market. 

I can't wait for the new content even though I havent even scratched the surface with my 50

Ahh I see. You are misunderstanding the issue here.

The issue is that hi-rez textures (HRT) were in the game during Beta. All SS and videos make to promote how great TOR will be used HRT. Then before the last Beta event they took them our for whatever reason, while leaving the "High" setting in-game. When game launched and is was painfully obvious that something was wrong Mr. Reid first said that it was on our end. The next day he blamed a "bug" for having a "medium" setting in the first place. Obvious nonscense.

The hue and cry is because we are being lied to about the lack of HRT when we KNOW they existed before.

Okay I got a char screen and I will post it. For some reason beyond me I cannot post it in this post, but it does make its way to my profile somehow. Anyway, just look at my char screen. It is as nice looking as you could need it to look!! Really, it is.  Anyway, I uploaded a screen called, "My Char'. Look at that. It's awesome, just like the graphics are awesome. To me at least.

I do not remember seeing those posts about HRT's and all that at all, and I was a beta tester. All I know is that from early beta to now, is that the graphics look the same. So I am confused!! I do not remember them saying anything about HRT's. I only thought they were seeking to give everyone, no matter what rig, a fair shake graphically wise at this awesome game.

IMHO that SS supports what I am saying. Look at the armor apperance on your "Dwarf" and "beauty" SS. Then look at "My Char" and tell me that your armor does not look washed out as hell.

If you will take a notice to the chain mail there, Rift's chain mail looks all washed out as well. Seriously, are you trying to make a point of that armor to what my Sith is wearing? Really? Did you max the pics there? I would so no. But you are correct Sir, different strokes. I am not here to make anyone love or hate this game. I am only here to make a point in the graphics of SWTOR. That is all. To me, they are done very well.

Hopefully the future holds a whole lot of bug fixes, and I mean a ton.  Don't even waste your time with new content until you fix all the broken shit you already have.  This game is a turd. lol

Great game. Fewer bugs than most other MMO's at launch. Enjoying my time listening to people cry at bugs and lack of features for a game not even a month old.

OK article. I am enjoying the game and am planning on staying subbed for the time being (we will see in the future with GW2 and my personal omg I cant fukn wait game etc etc Archage)

The odd thing is I am an EVE freak and old orig UO guy from release no less etc and an ex wow raider who now can't stand the sound of someone saying warcraft without my skin crawling. Yet I am enjoying TOR something crazy lol. I like the story, I like the cutscenes< I dont spacebar all that much through it. Ihave about 12 chars on 4 servers all between levels 20 and 40 (differant freinds / diff servers) and in no rush whatsoever to get to 50.

The engine optimization sucks, the pvp is fairly terrible in general (in thoery and practice) still themepark (and I don't care for themeparks all that much) yet I still like it......I play eve so yeah I can handle a few big lies every couple of days (the texture things) The space missions are 1980 arcade stuff yet fun, the ship is your in game housing so to speak. can't do anything with it but IT IS nice to have lol.

WTF is wrong with me? I wanted to play a wookie and I thiought the star wars movies sucked balls. Why is this game fun for me? No idea.... but it is :) Least for now anyway.

Oh and I play with it at 1900 res and everything on MAX at a steady 90-110 fps rate and my game looks pretty fucking nice. So yeah they are lying pos for the res texture crap but ....

Bring in Dice or Crytek engineer to look into SWTOR cos it seems SWTOR dev are incompetent in other matters beside VO.

I guess there must be something euphoric about fanboyism cause I sure as hell don't have any issues with SWTOR. Well, except for maybe the implementation of Expertise gear for people with no life who suck at PvP and need a crutch.

Do you mean the screenshots ? I'm playing it highest settings on a decent monitor what I'm seeing looks exactly like whats pictured in them . If so I can only assume you've not played it on highest settings or not played it at all .

 

Stop with your BS the graphics dont look like that, I play on the highest setting still don't look like that.

Just proves the point of those of us who were pointing out the serious lack of honesty in the industry. With phrases like "taking the world by storm" and "loads of content" how do these sites and magazines really expect the playerbase to take them seriously anymore? Then we have the players who need glasses because they seriously don't know what real high settings look like. Make a video capture or it didn't happen on your machine. Let the community decide if it's high rez you are seeing or not because we all highly doubt it.

I like that we get some new stuff so fast, to the people who said they got a half shipped game, its an MMO they always add new stuff.

To those complaining about the collectors edition, one big reason for the 150 price tag was the damn statue. Walk into any comic or toy shop and you will see similar statues selling for $80-$100. You get to keep that, its well made, good detail and nice.

And to those that keep saying we quit, cancelled and so forth, thats nice, thanks for sharing. How about add something helpfull as to why exactly and not just the same drivel everyone else says.

Great to see all these new additions to the game coming out so soon, I and my friends are loving it at the moment, do not understand what the issue with graphics are to me this game looks damn good.

The in game graphics do match the pics shown, the pics shown are hardly cutting edge and the in game graphics are the same.

This article told us virtually nothing at all. Clearly it was felt a spam article was needed as a fill in. SWtOR is a fine game, but endless hype even after launch can only harm it.
