Loading screens FTW!
Let’s say you are in Aurek Base and you want to go to your ship.
First you must go to Orbital Station (short time black screen). From there to your class elevator and hangar (short time black screen) and finally enter your ship (long time loading screen).
Then you realize that you forgot to deliver a quest or something…so again…
Exiting ship (long time loading screen), leave hangar to Orbital Station (short time black screen) and finally to Aurek Base (short time black screen)…
And of course you must return back to the ship…so once again…
Go to Orbital Station (short time black screen). From there to your class elevator and hangar (short time black screen) and finally enter your ship (long time loading screen).
A bit annoying don’t you think? |

If you watch a game, it’s fun. If you play it, it’s recreation. If you work at it, it’s FF-XIV. |

To be fair every mmo has loading screens. Its just more relavent on higher instanced mmos. |

If it contains the words video and game, it must be a WOW clone. |

Reminds me of SWG, say I was at jabba's and my ship was parked in the mining outpost on dant. I'd first have to ride to wayfar, take a shuttle (load screen) to mos eisley, then from there take a shuttle (load screen) to Naboo, from there another load screen to get in my ship. Never really found it annoying though. For every minute you are angry , you lose 60 seconds of happiness."-Emerson If you can't argue the point don't say anything at all. |

The necessity of the loading screens aside, travel in this game is very efficient and quick. With an adequate computer, the loading screens are brief and have not caused me any real annoyance. |

MMO sandbox games are as exciting as watching paint dry. |

I need a scorecard to keep us with this stuff. Sheesh.
I happen to like the hanger stuff, and if they wish to put any Han Solo/Jabba meeting at the Falcon sceens in, they have the perfect place. Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget. |

Get a good SSD and then you can laugh at the poor people who still have to suffer through long loading screens. |

And you'd always, always just miss one... |

Originally posted by Gibbonici Although many people will say that this sucks, I say that this is one of those features that constitutes a proper MMORPG world. This is really missing in the more recent titles. Yes you have to wait, but you could - you know - talk to fellow waiting people and stuff. |

This is one of my biggest complaints as well. the game has no "geography". It's just a series of small instanced areas strung together by load screens. No area in SWTOR has any spatial relationship to any other. Destroys the sense of anctually being in any kind of world, which is a shame, because the Star Wars universe would have been a fun place to play in. |

Star Wars Galaxies did it right. Go to the space port. Go to the terminal. Choose the planet you wanted to Fast Travel to. Poof, in that planet's Starport now.
SW:TOR's hangars are nice looking, but completely superfluous. |
