Originally posted by kalinis Just got back with dinner with 6 friends, four of whom I knew were playing SWTOR. After starting to get into details I fin out that all but 1 of them were in TOR and absolutely loving the game as I am and have NO plans on leaving anytime soon. While talking I did not hear one negative comment about it. Unlike these boards.

Max exodus = LOL. My guild has over 150 people and we average 50+ every night and that has not changed, we havent lost 1 person yet. In fact we add each day to our large roster. Sure some people will quit before they have to start paying a sub, thats expected but the number will be minimal, most people (minus this forum which is horrible to base any judgement off of) I know are loving the game thus far. I just hit 50 and plan to start my first alt :) |

Originally posted by Raora I like the game and will play it thoroughly but I do not see myself playing it once I have completed all classes and maxed them out. With SWG I played that solidly from July 2003 to Dec 16th 2011, and if it did not get shut down, I would have subbed and played that game forever, and with many extra accounts too. Most people who got stuck into it felt that way too. Its systems kept you hooked even once maxed out. I feel the same about other MMOs too, but they do seem to have more things to tinker with in game, than what SWTOR currently has. Hopefully this stuff will get added before most people have maxed their characters. In EQ2 there are tonnes of classes and races to choose from so has more longevity, and an interesting crafting system, not as good as SWG but adequate enough to play with longer than SWTOR but less than SWG. Basically looking at this game for short term, there is nothing wrong with it, and I have nothing negative to say about it, but looking long term there is. If you see no good or you see no bad in a game, chances are you are bias. |

Lets not kid ourselves, a large amount will quit after the first month, but chances are its not going to be a 'mass exodus'. I'd say the population will probably drop about 10-20%, though its full well possible that number could be higher as well. Its really nothing strange to see as many players will find the game just is not for them. A 'mass exodus' would take a very drastic thing to happen. The game might not be that good (sorry, not going to sugar coat it, anyone not blinded by the dazzle can see the flaws) but its not awful either. Sure there are issues, but nothing that would warrent a large scale quiting of the game.
Expect less after the first month? Yes, thats pretty much going to happen with any MMo release you see. Expect a mass exodus? Not a very likely outcome. |

I too plan on playing every class, that being said, I do not level fast. I played EQ2 for 6 years after I left SWG. I had 8 characters between level 42 and 58 and none to max level because I love leveling character versus just grinding to max. I see TOR giving me minimum 6 year just to get to where I was in EQ2. And that is just fine with me. |

Well, without some new stuff, I know we will have probably a few people in my guild, and its a pretty small guild...People raced to 50, and now they sit around crying about things, but it didn't help that from the limited stuff they could do, some was still bugged/broke.
I am like 43, so not there yet, and I have 2 alts atm, not in a big rush. I do spacebar quests on alts, that are not storyline, but quests I have done though...
They do need to revamp some stuff, and get the not at launch content out asap though, imo.
