I dont' believe there is any lvl 30 pvp gear... i'm still in the lvl 20 stuff... next stuff doesn't appears till lvel 40... so yes you can just pvp... but... from 20 on, you'll be wearing worse and worse gear compared to others...

but if you do class quests i think that might be enough.

personally, i cancelled my account today...

in beta we had low level PVP gear. they removed it.

Or I guess you could just play the rest of the game while leveling up which provides the gear you need.  When your level 50 you can log 10 trillion hours of PVP game time and get all the coolz PvP gear you want.

I think it was done to intice people to experience the rest of the game world. 

OP you will have plenty of time to grind out your PvP rewards once your 50.  "But I only want to PvP and only want to level while PvPing"  I dont know, go play LoL then or something. Bioware spent some ridiculous amount of money making the PvE content which you paid for whether you wanted to or not.  The title of the game is not Star Wars: The old PvP Repubic.  I rolled on a PvP server because I like PvP but Im not going tunnel vision on it.
