Huttball is the one that queues the most if your server has a high imbalance between the sides. Its the one matchup where you can be fighting people from your own side. If you see almost nothing but huttball, get some people to play on the other side on your server. If you're always getting your butt kicked in Huttball, check the class of the ones kickin you, they might be on your side...hit them up for some pointers or a team queue.

I voted no.  It's not so much that I am bored with the PVP, but there are too many bugs and issues they need to work out first.  In fact I am posting this because I was just playing, but had a Warzone bug out and I fell through the world and got kicked for inactivity down there, so now I am just surfing.  I might come back in a few months to check it out again, but some things I don't think will ever be worked out (like spell animation lag).  I believe in speaking with my wallet, and other games don't have these problems.  If you are going to charge the same price as the big boys you better deliver a solid product.

TLDR:  If you are a hardcore PVPer, this game isn't for you.

TLDR: Ability delay is due to the mismatch between GCD and Instant Abilities caused by uncancellable animation effect that allows one to use up an instant ability during its animation. Should be easily fixed if you turned those abilities into “channels.”

Despite what people say, this problem can be fixed very easily (at least I think so).

For all spells that have “uncancellable animation effect” on top of “activation time,” change it so they are simply “cancellable channels.” I know they can do this easily, why? Because they have spells like the Sith’s “Ravage,” where you can channel an ability that is 3 seconds long, but it can be cancelled. So you can probably just copy the code for that spell and apply to all spells that have “uncancellable animation effects.”

Thus, “Charged Burst” would be a 2.5 second cancellable channel rather than its current 1.5 activation time (1.5 second activation time + 1 second animation effect). Of course, unlike "Ravage," the damage would only happen at the end of the channel sequence.

Seems like a rather small issue, that can be resolved. I barely notice this anyways.  Meh.  Deosn't really affect my enjoyment of pvp.  

 

In fact, it seems more realistic to me. If I'm throwing a grenade in real life, I can't interrupt the actual physical act of throwing the grenade halfway through and pull out my gun to start shooting.  If I were to do that, I would surely have a live grenade laying on the ground around my feet.

 

Think about it, if I stop throwing a grenade halfway through the animation, how could I have hit my target with the grenade?

It's one thing for it not to be an issue to many but to few.

This is amazing.

Just got done with the Nar Shaddaa bonus misison series - and just like on Tatooine there was plenty of PvP action to be had running around doing missions, level 40 Rep gank sqauds, and a lone Trooper who just wouldn't quit til I spanked his butt one tme too many.

I'm on a RP-PvP server and there is no shortage of action in the open world. Trouble is, the first shared world is in the 20's, and no-one really seems to go in for open world stuff until Tatooine. So by your mid 20's, if you're on a PvP server and have not had fun chasing the enemy all over the place, then something is wrong somewhere.

Having spent a couple of years playing Fallen Earth, I can handle myself in open world pvp, and I'd really miss it if the option wasn't there in this game. From experience in testing all heck really breaks loose on Hoth, can't wait to get there : )

I run Warzones sometimes, but to me they're never as much fun as open world encounters. And I truly loathe the Voistar because it's always been a clusterfrak when I've run it. Alderaan is fun, and Huttball (which I initially hated) is my favorite.

I never got to step foot on Ilum in testing, but I'm anticipating it being a ton of fun.

Except... thats pretty much what most MMos do. Open world pvp is far from new and limiting it pretty much to one world does nothing new. 

It isn't limited to one world,  but some of the best open world PvP content is on Illum.

i like the way wz are set-up and i hope to one day play in some world pvp (that or lvl my character that i made on a pvp server).  I also like that i can just craft and pvp  all the way to lvl 50 as slow as that may be, but i'm in no rush.

Empire that is the problem, play Republic it is solved, having the ability to choose WZ wont ever happen since huttball is there for a reason

Not really about getting a yes, more about getting an accurate answer from people who actually spent money on the game and are not trolling. Not to mention it'd get a lot more votes.
