I chose human though I may play a sylvari alt.

Human Guardian, Charr Engineer, Norn Warrior, Asura Guardian again(Since Racials and animations will make them different in gameplay), and Sylvari well I'm still thinking, it's between Ranger,Thief, and Memser but who knows, I mean mesmer seem feminine but the proffesion has "gangsta" abilities IMO.

I voted Hu,am because that'll be the first race I start with and yea I'll be an altaholic for the first time in my MMO career, I felt that ever since I got to play at PAX that I'd end up being an altaholic ha ha.

It's great to see a nice balance between the races, though I have to say the sylvari has surprised me

Same.  Before I saw the results I was expecting Human and Charr to dominate the poll, but thankfully it's a lot more evenly distributed than I expected.

I'm easily most interested in playing a sylvari, but the profession I most want to play is mesmer (hands down, no question, nothing beats the purple pain).  But my original main from GW1 was a human mesmer and I kind of feel it's necessary to continue the bloodline from one game to another.  If I ever get involved in RP, I'll have an ancestor and some historical context all set.  It's not strictly rational, but I've been envisioning my GW2 mesmer for years as a human descendant.  I'm just going to have to go with it.

That being said, I'll probably start a sylvari character very quickly and run them both in tandem.  The sylvari fascinate me and I don't think I can wait a few months to retire my first character before exploring their lore.

like some people said..ill play them all too,but i start with charr warrior/guardian then my next char would be thief..maybe a norn or human..hmmm

I normally play small races like gnomes but I didn't really care for the Asura lore. They came off really arrogant and i prefer something a bit more humble. I very much liked the lore of the Sylvari and also like the new model for them. So will probably play a Sylvari.

To be perfectly honest, I dislike all of the races... I find them all fairly unimaginative.

I prefer monstrous races, but Charr as the only monster race doesn't do it for me.

I will alt a Charr at some point most likely, and/or maybe another race at some point. I will never create an Asura. It looks like it spawned from a wet Gremlin, lol.
