I'm just curious what the balance seems to be like on other peoples' servers. On mine, I've noticed that a huge number of sith players are already 50, where-as no where near as many republic players are 50. It tends to make pvp unbalanced.
I'm wondering if this is due to there possibly being more sith players on my server, or if perhaps sith quests are easier/closer together than republic quests...
What does it seem to be like on your server? |

Definelty more Sith, but I'm Sith as well. I heard that the split is somewhere 60% sith, 40% rebublic across servers, but I can not back up this statistic at all. For me personally, I did not want to do the normal "Eat Sunshine, crap Rainbows" republic quests, so thats why I went sith. I defnetly want to play a Jedi eventually, but for right now, being evil is very rewarding. As for PvP, it seems like PvPers predominatly pick the evil faction to PvP on. |

Nah, from the numbers I've seen, it's pretty even on my server. May even be a slight tilt to the Republican side due to it being an RP server. For some reason, it seems as though RP folks like to play the "good guys" more than on other servers. I heard strictly PvP servers had a real bad tilt towards the Imps, though. |

I am playing on a regular old PvE server, pretty decent tilt towards the Imperial side, and I see more high level imperials.
I am not yet 50.. but I'm very, very close, and I'm usually the highest in any PvP match on the Republic side. |

Sabre of Exar Kun is DEFINITELY heavily imbalanced in favor of Imperial. I know this for sure because I constantly do Warzones and I have a Republic and an Imp character on that server. On the Imp guy, I do Huttball like 85% of the time. On the Republic guy, I haven't done Huttball once lol. Since Huttball is the only Warzone that can be played against your own faction...that's saying something. Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob? |

It likely will start out favoring the Imperials in the beginning then swinging back and forth of the the years much like WOW did.

Yea, definitely runs more sith than republic. Just FYI, I feel fairly dirty when I run the "goody goody" Republic missions. I joined to BE the GOOD GUY... and the storyline... yea... I don't feel good following "orders". |

On Lord Adraas (RP), I just started a new Republic character, after playing Empire for 30 levels. Amazing how many more players I see running around the starter area, more than I ever saw anywhere on the Empire side, from Korriban to Alderaan.
It got me thinking, they should queue by faction, rather than the entire server. If, for example, empire were full, but republic still had room, it would balance out. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Play on a couple. My main server (Dark Reaper) is very heavily skewed towards imperials. Same deal w/ Mandalore the Indominable, and Switfsure. |

Originally posted by Vhaln I had the same thoughts. In fact, I'm kinda annoyed they didn't split the servers up by faction. It would solve a lot of problems, and even lead to better PvP. However, it's pretty clear that they didn't launch the game with PvP in mind, almost all decisions are geared towards PvE and the main storyline. |

Even for PvE, population issues can be downright gamebreaking. By the time they do anything, it'll be too little, too late, though. I don't know why they can't jump in and hotfix things like this, while it still matters.

I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at the ratio on my server but lets just say, the fleet is teeming with people all over the place on the Imperial side with 10 - 20 people stood around every vendor, bank, auction etc. Over on the republic side you're lucky to see that many in the whole fleet area never mind stood at an NPC. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |
