Chat, steal guild loot. Make'em buy your 30 day game time. Get to cap. Sell toon on Ebay. I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee. |

Hahaha :). It's good that you'll get a chance to try the game. I think it's a a decent enough game, the story is fun, very similar to a SPRPG. That said, I also think it's not going to have much longevity. It doesn't really offer anything that new in terms of highly repeatable content. In this category, it just offers what WoW does (raids, dungeons, BGs, open PvP zone), but less of it. Also, if you're tired of the quest-node model, you'll probably get sick of the game pretty fast. I'm tired of that model, and I'm already losing interest after less than a week. |

The thing is Teala, you play WoW... if you like WoW, I can't see why you won't like SW:TOR. They are both themeparks. They are both well polished. Just think of SW:TOR as 2004 WoW - i.e. it's early in their launch, it won't have every single feature that a more mature game has, but it's still fun... if you like themeparks that is... I know you prefer sandboxes though. And if you're looking for innovation, the only innovation you'll find in SW:TOR is the focus on cinematic storytelling (rather than click a quest giver and immediatley quick accept, without reading the text). Give it a chance. I personally feel more interested in my character than I ever did with my WoW character, because he has more... well... character. That and the group storytelling stuff. Like it or hate it, it's definitely an innovation on anything I've seen in another MMO. Hope you can get past whatever hangups you have, because I can't imagine ever going back to WoW, or any non-cinematic engrossing game like it. |

Hahaha...good laugh, everyone done? >:p Yes he bought it for me for Christmass...he and a couple of guildies think I need to give Bioware a month to fix the games issues. Will see. I will tell you this Skyward Sword is an awesome game! Having a blast playing it right now. Oh and I do not recommend plying it after drinking a half a bottle of wine if you expevct to really get anywhere in the game. ^_^ Laters! Happy Yuletide everyone!

Sweet saved you $60, cant beat that with a stick.
Since it was 'free' give it a go with an open mind, you will be out nothing more than your time, maybe it will surprise you.
Me?, well my copy is still under the 'tree. It has been there since the 20th. I could have talked my way into getting it soon, but I figured I'd let it simmer down for a bit, let them get the bugs with code application sorted, and maybe new servers. I believe the next 2-3 days will see another huge influx, I don't care what the 'chatter' is with all the "everyone who is going to play pre-ordered'. In fact I'd bet there are more than 100,000 copies, and the acounts that go with them, still under several trees.
Have a Happy. |

If you give it a fair chance you'll probably like it. It's not a bad game; it's actually quite fun. The only question I have is if they will keep new content and fixes coming. |

It doesn't suprise me that there are already alot of level 50s. During the 3 beta weekends (I played only 6 days) I had 4 level 20+, every class over 15. Created every gender/race combo and went to level 10 at least to check voice overs....you level extremely fast in this game. If I had only made one character, I could've gotten him to at least 40 in those 6 days...

Yeah My brother showed up this morning with a gift. I assumed it was a Xbox 360 game I've yet to pick up but it was SWTOR... Since I'm not playing a mmo right now, might as well make the bastard happy and play for a month or so. Ultima ONline (3 Years) |

Hey nice gift. Maybe you could post something about the game experience later on. Would like to hear something from a WoW player point of view. |

Originally posted by Creslin321 Might I inform you that SWTOR has more end-game content than WoW currently has, when considering that 80% of WoW's raid content is useless since all of the expansions and levels that have made them nearly irrelevent for anything but title grinding. I'm thinking that is SWTOR Has better PVP than WoW, and the devs do make good on the promise to provide fast quality content, then the longevity shuldn't be too much in issue. My concern of longevity begins when I see how quickly obsessive nerds reach the level cap :/
As far as "Open PVP Zones". The question is considering, will open PVP actually "WORK" in swtor? Because I know that open world PVP has been incredibly broken in WoW ever since vanilla days ended.
