And that's out of 3.8 million total characters created. If you do the math, that's 40% of all the player characters! Talk about flavor of the month! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWdd6_ZxX8c |

Seems like all I see are Sith Inquisitors everywhere. I see Vette now and then, but Khem Val's got clones all over the place. I've seen Kaliyo two or three times, and Mako.. maybe once.
I think if they did a better job of making all the classes appealing in some way, it might have overcome the fact that almost everyone wants to play a Jedi.. but they didn't. They're all really bland, but at least the Jedi, are, well, Jedi.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Originally posted by sanosukex Well, actually the article says that the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior classes are literally the most popular. Which would mean that the sorc class would have to be less than 20%. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWdd6_ZxX8c |

Am I misreading, or does it just say that a million have been rolled? Meaning, people might have ALSO rolled consulars and inquisitors? And maybe even a few of those other force-impaired classes. It may be the case, obviously, but on my server it seems there are a ton more inquisitors than warriors....a *ton* more.

Mine too. I bet almost everyone gave warriors a try, but more ended up sticking with inquisitors. On the empire side. No idea how it might balance out on the republic side, though. It seems that most want to have the warrior or inquisitor first, but once they get their lightsabers and advanced classes many change to BHs and Agents. My guild had lots of inquisitors, but now the novelty has dissapated, and many have rolled non force users. I think these things balance out. You see a lot more of the casters and assassins at least in pvp.
I mean a lot more...
However, on Port Nowhere you see a lot of non force users. |

I see a lot more Sith Inq in the pvp scenarios (sorry can't remember what they are called and I'm exhausted from getting the house ready for Christmas). |

I'm around lvl 30 valor, and in most of my Warzones this is what I've seen Republic usually got a couple of every class, while empire rocks 6+ Inquisitors, then the rest randoms.
I'm not saying it's like this in every Warzone, but in a lot of them.
But yeah, warzones alone does not make up for the majority of all the players, so it could be that those interested in PvP just tend to roll glass cannons, and ninjas.
I think it will balance out eventually though, I'm one of those Sith Assassins running around ^^, but I do have my BH alt, love bounty hunters and agents. |
