After all the hoopes these bastards make you jump, the final insult is this, after pre buying and then buying the physical copy, they shit on us by forcing us to give them our credit card information, cus thats the only thing on there mind, to suck as much money from our poor sobs as possible.
Any one familiar with business law please tell me if there is a solid foundation for this ?
its like buying food at a restaurant : forking out cash even before you get in there, then paying full price before you get to enjoy the low quality of this steaming turd of a game.
while the dish is ready in the kitchen, suddenly you need to give them your credit card so they can charge you at a later date, -should you make the mistake of walking to there direction.
I for one had little repsect for this game in beta, buying this turd just to play with friends, for the love of god bring out GW2 or any next gen MMO.
Shit : UI, GFX, PvP, PvE, WORLD, lol random IP/server herp.'
This game is near ready for Beta and its officially, people have been mentioning bugs like the UI for months and nothing happens, -this tub of shit will loose 50% of the players in 6 months. |

Subscription at beginning of your account is SOP for MMOs. Just put in a credit card number and then cancel your account. If you are really THAT worried about it, take a screen shot of the information showing that your account ends in 29 days AND you are not resubscribing. If Bioware bills you later, then you have legal grounds for a lawsuit. Otherwise, SHUT UP. |

hold on .. you are angry you have to put in a subscription plan (that wont be billed till the end of your free month) like we have been doing for every single mmo in the last what? 12-15 years? |

No, Bioware aren't doing anything illegal. No, you can't sue them because their servers are overloaded right now. Buying the game box is buying access to their game servers, NOT the game itself. The discs have all of the files you need to have on your computer for the game to run, but the game itself is only available on Bioware's servers. That's how MMOs work. That is how they have ALWAYS worked since EQ and UO. When you buy the game box, you get a free month of access. To continue playing the game, you need to put in your credit card information, or redeem a Game Card or something else upfront so that they have a payment method on hand once the 30 days are up. You don't get charged until that 30 days are up, unless you cancel during that time. |

It is written on the box, and in the purchase agreement if you buy it online. So based on that fact alone there would be no recourse I can think of. But I am no business or law degree person. This is pretty much how all sub based games do business. I might not agree with it, but its the way it is and has been for pretty much all the MMO's I have played over the last 10 years. IMO only people new to the genre should be suprised. If this is your 1st sub based MMO then I understand the frustration. If its not then why would you expect this to be different than most ( if not all ) sub based MMO's? |

What bothers me is I have 30 days of game time on my account.... Why am i forced to sign up for a sub today when i dont need it? Maybe i'll be bored with the game in 30 days and wont want to play it anymore and then i'll just have to cancel this sub. But the main thing that gets me is the fucking wait time.... Ive been sitting on the site now for near 45 mins in the "waiting room" so i can put my sub informatin in on an account that has 30 days of game time available in it so i can use my vacation i took to play the game.... Instead im wasting it writing this forum post and sitting in the waiting room on the swtor website. There is no reason I should be forced to have an active subscription today if i still have gametime on my account. |

This has been the standard practice of most pay to play MMOs for years now. This is not new... however the OP's lack of understanding of this concept leading him to being mad bro, is pretty awesome. Continue being stupid for my amusement. |

Okay thats all well and good.... but if they cant even keep their website available for people to do this then they shouldnt be forcing people to sit in a waiting que.

How do I know beyond my own experience? Because whenever a new one comes out EVERYONE complains about it all over again and somehow forgets what happened last time! |
