WoW is the only mmorpg that I have played that has non restricted flying mounts and it's a horrible way to let people travel, almost as bad as letting people just teleport to places.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the game and dont need anyone to convince me to, and I dont care about anyone who tries to tell me it would be somehow important to stop liking the game or some other weird crap.
Bioware just needs badly to add mid level new planets to the game before people start rolling alts, there's really only one path to level for every class per faction currently, and I'd like to take some other turns in my leveling journey with an alt on the same faction as the main. One extra char I can propably level up with no problems because of the different main story, but on the third the same planets will begin to look a bit boring :)
They have a great system to expand mid levels since they dont need to squeeze in new areas into existing zones like in games with tightknit world / world map, just drop in completely new planets around lvl's 20, 30, 40 etc. |

Originally posted by fiontar ^ This. I'm all for games having potential to improve, but you also have to realize that 'having potential' can also be nothing more than a nice way of saying 'lacking'. The game is new, it's shiny, and people are enjoying it. However, there are a lot of issues with it (that many players seem to have blinders on for), so depending on which they choose to focus on first, could effect how the game plays out quite a lot. |

Originally posted by Distopia yea I was part of that thread on the official forums and there joke of an excuse to remove it was because so many of there armor pieces are just recolors of the same exact model it takes away from feeling of progression and acomplishment for getting a new piece of gear.. such a crock since it was a SELECTABLE feature...anyway http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/339443/Video-FollowUp-Guide-For-Enhancing-Graphics-and-Performance-in-SWTORSorry-still-Nvidia-Only.html |

Originally posted by tank017 Orange items can be upscaled with level. You use mods. Mods give the orange items all the stats, so you can take the mods out of 1 item and put them in another. Pretty cool system as you actually are wearing what you look like, and can taylor the items to what stats you want.

In the cantinas there are social venders which will sell you orange gear. My favorite is the Hutt slut-slave outfits for my Chiss gal. |

At level 25 (before maintenance) my operative had: 2 orange chest-pieces, 2 orange rifles, 1 pair of orange pants, an orange head-piece thingy and an orange belt. Orange gear can't be all that rare if I have nearly a full set of it. The system that's in now is closer to the original modding system, still not quite as good or as complex, but it does the trick. I'll just keep modding the chest-piece and rifle I like the looks of, and stow the others in cargo for later. I do miss the unify to chest option terribly though. My Sorc had a really nifty red'n'purple look going on a few months back, and I doubt I could recreate it now - kept the chestpiece for 20 levels to keep the color scheme right, lol. That was back when greens were moddable, the chestpiece was green iirc. Took the stats hit for the stylin' bonus XD |
