I'm not even on SWTOR (though in a month or two i may pick it up) But i understand their reasoning completely.
Every new MMO drops, and millions of people jump on it. But after a month or two the amount of people drop. This doesn't mean the game is bad, this happens to every MMO, even happened with WoW.
They don't make a million servers to provide for all of the people who just started, because in a month or two, you'll start to get empty servers. Aion struggled big time with this! Many complaints about empty servers! They had to merge servers. Bioware/EA completely avoided this, by limiting the number of servers. SWTOR is all the craze right now, just wait a month, and server que's will go. Would you rather this, or to end up on a server with only 100 other people?
Hope you all understand now, and appreciate. :) |

Bioware missed the memo of why adding tons of new servers is a bad idea instead of just doing server restarts to kick the AFK's ;p
140 and counting!
This is EA people not TRIOn, so pick the server with a 10 hour queue and play there. When those populations start to drop that is where you want to be. |

Originally posted by Xiro I am worried about server queues at launch but to be honest I don't see what the problem is right now. I play on Slug which is considered one of the worst 5 to 10 servers for queues and I have never had to wait over 30 min and never had a 1002 or 1003 error or whatever kick me out of the queue. When WoW launched Cata the server queue times were 3 to 5 times worse for the first few weeks. Server queues are frustrating but have been made a bigger deal than they are. |
