Originally posted by BillMurphy Rather hard to make a Firefly MMO when you don't even have the rights to the game. Multiverse bought the rights to this title from Fox back in 2006 and has done nothing with it. It is not even listed on their website as a game they are working on. So far as most of us are concerned a Firefly MMO is just a figment of someone imagination. Just putting up a webpage saying Firely Universe team is working on it means nothing, there are a ton of empty websites out there for games that never happen. So until we actually see something develop it most definitely should be on this list. |

I'd be all for a Walking Dead or Deadwood MMO, I was a huge fan of the online sandbox mode in Red Dead Redemption (I just wish I didn't need an Xbox Live Gold membership to play it) and Deadwood had an excellent formula for generating tension, drama, and suspense without the need for constant gunfights and killing (though of course plenty of people get killed regardless). I've sampled a few Zombie MMO's but sadly most of them are text-based or have clunky interface systems. I'm still hopeful that someday soon a really good Zombie MMO will come out and I think The Walking Dead would be a great series to draw inspiration from. |

1. Firefly..no need to elaborate on it, just make it! 2. Band of Brothers..well, a true sandbox PvP WWII RPG, where everyone doesn't join a race, but a nation, and everyone helps rewrite that servers history!! 3. Doctor Shrinker(God I am Old)/Honey I Shrunk The Kids..simple, a whole city is shrunk somehow, and they most cope with dangers they never knew existed. Wow those rain drops are huge! look out, it's Ratzilla!! 4. Final Count Down-hope thats the right name, the movie where the USS Enterprise goes back in time rigft before the Japs bomb Pearl Harbor..some many things can be done here, different time streams, out comes, tech introduced way too early in history. 5. Planet of the Apes-lots of ideas, humans vs apes, humans vs humans, uncovered old tech and weapons, heck, throw in another faction and it becomes crazy...humans on the verge of being wiped out..kind of like a reverse Terminator!

G.I. Joe Terra Nova Transformers Sanctuary as it's set now with the abnormal uprising for different factions I like Highlander as a theme but you'd have to reroll if ya got beheaded. So not such a plauseable premise for an mmo cuz not too many peeps like perma- death. And also a good version of Stargate! Hell they could pull from stargate and stargate atlantis |

Firefly, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead, and Highlander. Highlander would be the sandbox, full-loot PvP game so many in these forum say they want. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

How can anyone write a list of shows that shgould be MMOs and not include Firefly? How can they include the Muppets but not Firefly? I love the Muppets, but an MMO? All hail the Pixel, for it is glorious Orange!

With the recent demise of LEGO Universe, I think a Muppet MMO for kids (and nostalgic adults) is not a bad idea at all. The muppet style would lend itself to a fun character creator, and there's lots of great stories to build adventures around. |

Dude, if ya read the posts above Bill already said they are making Firefly into an MMO. That's why he didn't include it. |

1: Where is Firefly? 2: As long as you are including Jim Henson Company projects, why not include Farscape? Kind of a no-brainer there. |

Aside from the Muppets, I've never heard of any of those. I can't seem to come up with a single TV show that would make even a decent MMO, but that's probably due to my limited TV show repertoire. |

Out of those, Masters of the Universe is the one that's the biggest no brainer when it comes to the creating of an MMO, as well as lots of other 80's cartoons. For example, a Thundercats MMO where the storyline revolves around a new colony of thundarians refugees that managed to escape their planet before it blew up and arriving at the third planet, your class could be tied to the species of feline you pick up (tiger - ninja/rogue, panther - warrior, and so on), and even could also give you the chance to make it a factions PvP game by letting you also play a mutant. As for the muppets, I don't really see the main muppets universe work as an MMO, except maybe as a F2P smaller game, since mostly all the muppets franchise is based around the show business, don't really see it working as an ongoing game IMHO. I'd use instead one of the other Jim Henson's franchises, like maybe Fraggle Rock or even Dark Crystal. What can men do against such reckless hate? |

Masters of the Universe MMO would be fantastic.
The others listed? Meh. |
