Where was I? Oh yes, right: So untill we can get confirmation on those claims from a somewhat more credible source, I call bullshit on that one.

There is currently an exploit where people who queue up for  Warzones that aren't fully populated with players get kicked out of queue after two minutes and gain full XP.  So I guess they've just been requeuing over and over for max xp without having to do anything for it.     

Anyway, BW is aware of it, is working to fix the bug, if they haven't already, and have stated that they will deal with the people that exploited that system to powerlevel.  Obviously, this was a bug caused by them trying to spread the population to thin on the servers, since most war zones didn't get populated.

not everyone plays mmos for endgame content, if everyone wanted that, developers would sell you the game with instant lvl cap so you jump right to end game

 

I said nothing about everybody. I was talking about the people that don't enjoy level grind. It's a pointless time sink. Skipping them effect nobody but the player that skips it. Endgame grind is still the same for everybody. People that like levels cam still level grind their ass off. Let players that font like that level grind to skip it. It doesn't effect you at all!!!!!!

You are comparing apples and oranges. Unlike a movie, a themepark truly starts at the end of the level. Not the first level. I rather skip that meaningless level grind time sink and start playing the real game that I will have to face from cap onward

Why in the earth would someone want to play SWTOR to skip all of the leveling? You take out the story element of the game and it's very mediocre. There are numerous other games better suited to do that if you are that type of player.

 

Because levels and story isn't all there is to the game. You do know that right? It's a MMO. And has a endgame where story progression also slows to a finite halt.

    Yeah, i dont get it either. That type of game play is shallower then the puddle in my back alley. How can one that plays mmo's so shallow not run out of things to say without repeating themselves.

Okay so let me get this straight, because people aren't up in arms about a video games exploits being used  all humanity is lost? 

 Look at the bigger picture, I wasn't really talking specifically about just using an exploit in a single game when I said that last part. More about the mentality and lack of morals involved, or caring about consiquences of what they do or how it affects others, it's pretty much routine for the current generation of internet hounds.

 That way of thinking can extend beyond just games if that's what you grow up on.

I bought the game for the daggam' story, and by gosh I will play the daggam' story! Obviously this means I won't be exploiting anything. :)

I'm rolling on a PvP server and I could careless. In modern themepark MMO's other peoples progress almost have no impact on my gameplay period. The developers go through great lengths to ensure that your experience is mostly in tact no matter what others do. So with that said I'm not concerned one bit :)

It'd be nice to have this fixed and all but I can see why this wouldn't be top priority bug fix with a probably massive list of other items that are more important to straighten out for launch.

Also on another note, it would be nice if you provide a link or elaborate on what this exploit is. I'm not denying it exists, but you should stop with the sensationalist tone.

There are live streams showing it going on all day yesterday. It's pretty serious if you plan playing on a PvP server. PVE perhaps not so serious especially if you are someone that can ignore what everyone is doing around you.

It does impact other players.

There is a ripple effect that you aren't taking into account.

The players that use exploits to hit cap level will be moaning/groaning that 'there is no end-game content' OR 'OMG, I'm bored' or 'blah, blah, blah'.  Those exploiting douches will give the game a bad wrap.

I may have to reconsider my server choices. I have been in a couple of MMOs where early exploits have been so profound. EvE and Darkfall being two huge ones. They swan around untouchable, yet others would have to struggle for months for what took them days to get, as the exploits get fixed and nerfed.

Ironically, it seems the exploits are due to server populations lol.

Are people serious about defending exploits and saying its not top priority?

First big FAIL for BW. Huge fail. If those who exploited wont be banned it will be even bigger fail.

Or will they go Turbine route and just let everyone who wants to exploit for a few months without any punishment.

I hate to say it, but SWTOR really doesnt sound like the game for you at all if this is your mentality
