Like the the post says im long term follower of this game.. and after saying goodbye to this game.. within 10 min my thread was closed..

This is just an example of how the mods/AV are moving around with there customers..

I can make a whole list of  rules and broken promises of this..

My advise to all who are reading this or intrested in darkfall..

hardcore pvp game --> best pvp game i ever played tbh --> truely player skilled

But be highly aware of the fact.. that there is no support or what so ever

Av don't have any comminication at all with there customers.. Besides there 1 post a 5 week @ there blog.

If you run into trouble with either payment/ ingame bank problems / harrasment by other players.. There is really no point to talk to gm/make a ticket/ or make a post on there forum because none will respond with a decent sollution..

If you can live with these facts.. go ahead and try it out..

I've been around playing mmo's  almost for 10/15 years now.. and never encountered such a bad gaming company aka support.

p.s. waiting for darkfall 2.0 and must be runned by a decent game company..

Honeslty though why would they leave the thread open? Did you want people to have a discussion about you leaving? The only comments you would have got would have been trolls. You said your leaving so the mod said goodbye and closed your thread...seems appropriate.

They have always deleted "quitting" posts. In fact, most companies do.

And.....I'm sorry....but I'm laughing SO HARD at the thought of reporting someone for "harassment" in Darkfall.....

Some company do have those policies tho.. and why not.. 

most of the gamers don;'t understand and don't know that there is a possibily your talking to a players above 30 or a player under 15..

Which won't make a good experience if your a kid under 15...

And yea its easy to see all the games faults, such a shame though because it makes it hard for new people to get into it. I was lucky and ran into some nice people who i've been playing with, but i was just getting ganked at the noob spawns all the time by reds I'd have quit by now...which is what I bet happens to alot of people who are checking the trial out.

EDIT: Also the games forums are just awful. They literally made me stay away from the game for months because it makes the community look like a bunch of 12 year olds who just found out they can say bad things on the internet.

well, i also cancelled my sub, but got still around 2 month or so running, so they have a chance to convince people re-subbing but they treat them all very bad, worst communication ever, server issues since almost 3 weeks, a wipe beeing speculated, a wipe i mean, image wiping the MMORPG you are currently playing is going to be wiped, would you still play it and support that company? People are going crazy on their forums, starting petitions to not wipe etc...

If you look at the subscriptions at Urme... well, they loose on EU1 right now almost 100 every week, now imagine that this also is delayed as from cancelling the sub to finally getting out of the clan due no active sub, this takes some time, i would bet they dont got even a 1000 active subs left on EU...

all in all it is not looking good at the moment, and the company isnt doing anything to improve the situation....

OP, from which server you are. Cuz i heard EU wasnt doing well. You might want to resub and join NA1 to get some everyday pvp.

well, EU is not doing good, and NA looks a lot more healthy, but thats also just a matter of time, as the problem is not the population, it's AV... i doubt you get better support there... or do you get more update and different info's than people on EU?

What kind of update are you looking for? They adressed everything we wanted already. The only ones who can make the gameplay better are the players since its a sandbox. NA1 is healthier, so a better server. We dont need to wait for AV to do something in order to have fun. There is already a clan full of EU players on NA1 name simplicity. You can find their most recent siege here.

Anyway, what we wanted AV to fix was the sea timer on NA1 so they could set it on prime time instead of at 10 am where everyone are either at work or sleeping.  As for village control point, better rewards to create more pvp. For the war system, we wanted multi sieges and we have it now.

For the other issues, we are waiting for 2.0 cuz i doubt they will keep working hard on 1.0 from now. Well, the best thing they could do now, is reducing the grind even more for the newbs.

It's a shame because the game itself can be a lot of fun and there are some really terrific people playing the game. My advice would be to play it and just stay away from the forums. Find a clan that fits in with your ideals and you're good to go cause some havoc.

For what kind of update i'm looking for?

- First of all, a fucking excuse because they treated us like shit the whole year

- Fixing the Server Delay/Sync issue, due since over 3 weeks: this makes it almost unplayable

- Clarifying that they will not wipe: this takes every motivation, there is no sense in developing your character further if it is going to be wiped

- Deliever some sand in the Box, there is still much stuff the community asks for, or needs to be fixed as it is broken since release

- Clarify the real status about DF 2.0, so far it looks like there is nothing done, just have a look at dfstuff.com the dev tracker and read all announcements again, it is so frustrating how they lie to us... or just have a look at this good resumee http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=305657

So EU is dying, why dont i transfer to NA?

well, because i dont like to give up everything i achived there:

- i nice house with lots of addons

- full save and vendor

- some good friends left there

What i'm going to do?

The only thing the keeps me currently logging in now and then is:

- Paying the house tax till sub runs out

- My clanmates and some events

in general i lost the fun... dont get me wrong i was once like you one of the biggest fanboys and was defending AV, i payed over 3 years subs together with my alt, when they announced the frequent patches and fix loooooooooong overdue stuff like submarining blutails, they had like 3 patches in a month in september i think i had faith again...

but now everything seems to be lost to me, to much disappointments... just look at the disrespekt to the community, lately they dont even update the blog anymore just a community post in the middle of a thread there is no update.. The only miracle that could happend and bring me back would probably be the following:

Zad Mehdawi (President&CEO at Aventurine SA) get a post up saying something like: sorry guys, we fucked up, i got the consequences and fired tasos, you probably noticed that the lag is gone since we fixed it today, the status of DF2 is...

well, at some point i also thought like that, but now i understand people better, they are all just frustrated after all what happened (or especially what didnt happen)... it just took me longer, to get the picture and be back in reality... i'll bet that you will also understand this somewhen...

NA population isn't much better then EU.

People are dropping off like flies there also.

And the hacking and lag-switching are out of control.

A quick youtube search of The Gentleman, one of the larger NA clans, quickly leads to proof of hacking from the highest levels of thier membership. They talk about how to change the values on your armor pieces to be at 50.0 in all the resists except melee. This makes these players unkillable.

I was wearing Infernal q5 enchated pieces, and lost badly to a crappy geared lag switching Gentleman member. I landed as many spells if not more, and watched as my health depleted and his barely moved. I was shocked at the low damage rolls I was getting. This was the last day I played Darkfall. Was the final straw in a long list of Darkfall problems.

2 weeks later, Umberto is kind enough to inform the community of the Gentlemens currently gameplay style via recording ther Vent and posting a Youtube video. No surprises here.

sounds also bad, i just heard about expoiting archery so far there, when they hit you with several arrows at once and you are almost insta-dead.... and AV is doing and saying nothing about, like the ignoring of the lag/desync/server issue since a month..

I don't think you can say "everything,"

They did not clearly address the wipe issue.

They gave no timeframe for 2.0, which they promised to do in August 2011, for what was once DF 2010.

I think those are the two major issues, that if they addressed them, a huge part of the old player base would be somewhat placated. We are just looking for anything to play a game that we all love, in spite of its flaws. But if you look at the consistent complaint from long time members of the community from both EU and NA, it's a feeling of AV disrespecting their customers. That's the problem.

I do understand and agree with your point about players in a sandbox game, but you know, we do (I did until today) pay our money to AV for something and they need to do it. It's not 100% on us. Otherwise, why pay a monthly subscription fee? Just go out into the world (in RL) and play. Use your imagination. The world is your sandbox. But funhulks are not what I wanted. What was that?

just because you signed up your forum account a long time ago doesn't mean you are more credible or that you are somehow automatically AVs target audience that they failed to hold.  I have never seen you post on the DF forums before this and I've actually been playing DF for 2+ years.  You say "after 5 years of Darkfall" when Darkfall hasn't even been around 5 years.

Lots of people love DF so why don't you find a game you do enjoy instead of pointlessly vocalizing your butthurt about a game that probably wasn't meant for you in the first place.

I played for 2 years did not such EMO good bye like you i serieusly doub this is the reason why you quit i even think your the problem of why Darkfall is failing.

And im 100% right with this assumption when i saw GW2 you leave Darkfall for a over HYEPED THEMEPARK that will be as bad as almost all those themeparks on market.

Darkfall is good game its even a very good game only problem is the CHEATERS/EXPLOITERS/AFKMACROERS sinds launch and these days empty servers.

Game looks awesome and PVP is awesome but you guys sitting with you V.... whole day in your patethic protected clantowns(yes over protected with closed gates and stupid towers) and the insanely stupid all race clans plus mindless zerging and constant negative attitude you guys have about everything its what game kills not realy the devs.

And if your give good bye on forum and say some community sucks have the balls to explain why they suck.

And its a SMALL INDIE company that financially can't do much but you all spoild brats can't understand this.

That you have support this game for 2.5 years good for you but this topic you made is realy sad and not true at all.

You have sinds 2008 on forumfall helped destroying Darkfall with your themepark mentality ive not seen so many whines and crying as i saw from you sinds you register there. So comming from you that players are the ones that can make or breake the game came as bit of surprise to me.

Thats also something that destroyed Darkfall is that you all think is grind there is no grind AT ALL its only in your MINDS and what you do you as solution you CHEAT/AFKMACRO/EXPLOIT AND EVEN SOME HACKED. Result as usally many sheeps do they follow becouse they dont wanne fall behind afkmakro/bloodwalling/exploiting and they still sit with there V.. in clantowns and the so called biggest fans doing this not even one braincell think maybe i hurt the game in longrun.

First 6 months player base have ruined the game themselfs by zerging and cheating like The Mercs did and splitting up server.

Maybe AV should have done more about cheating but there just to small team to adress all problems comes with launching a mmo like this.

In darkfall you can from day one have fun no need for cheating and you can PVP from day one if you have balls for it or not affraid to lose your precious gear or die. But thats also problem only few can take dying and losing but keep playing.

Serious question here....Are you new to DF?

Loged into DF 4 days straight at "peaK" times and its pretty dead...

And lets forget about not getting a fraction of what we asked for and instead focus on not getting a fraction of what we were promised,things like prestige classes,UI overhaul,armor appearance overhaul,viable ways to play without using magic (runes failed),thats all i can think off but im positive theres more.
