That's how many guilds pop up if you do advanced search with no parameters. Taking that into account and say average of 10 players per guild (very low guess), that's 790,850 players. I have to admit given the hype of the game, that number still stuns me. Considering many guilds registered have 100+ members (not all going to play of course), but still.

I believe the initial pre-order rush had nearly 800,000 purchases. |

Originally posted by Quesa My point is that I believe many wouldn't of signed up for a guild in the first place and would wait until game launches to join if they decide to do so. So I would factor this into the equation. |

Originally posted by watchawatcha 10 players per guild would be amazing, but the average is 5. So that cuts your players in half and isn't nearly as impressive. Sennheiser |

I think the average size will be greater than 10...I know that our 4 chapters have nearly 1600 people (that makes up for a LOT of 4 man guilds :D). They are definately on track to blow WAR's 800K or so launch right out of the water.
*Edited to add that they are sitting at 915K NA (non digital) pre-orders right now |

Originally posted by Xarnthal Not true. Look at this server for example: http://www.swtor.com/guilds/search?shardName[]=he1073 That is is the list of guilds placed on Helm of Graush. The smallest guild (out of 67 total) has 12 players. The average is at least double that, if not higher. If that server is any indicator of the average size of the guilds, then 10 players per guild is grossly understimating it. |

Where did the average number 10 & 5 come from other than the dark solo instance behind you. If there are in fact a detailed place to prove this let me know. I'd live to think 800k are pre game guilder alone.
Everything I say is my opinion or personal preference. You may or may not find it useful to your cause but regardless I am entitled to it. |

Originally posted by watchawatcha I'm one of those people. I actually have a guild I'm going to be joining from folks I played with in WoW for years, but they didn't pre-register their guild yet and will set up the guild once the guild leader/officers pick a server. I'd imagine there are a lot of people who weren't part of the pre-registration process yet. And that also doesn't take into account the larger guilds that have more than 10 people in them. |

Originally posted by Veldekar Haha, I hadn't thought about it, but that's actually true. I think Mortal Online has something like 5000 subs, and TOR has 16 times that many guilds. LOL.

I just hope that EA Bioware is prepared for what is going to happen on the 20th (If not sooner) This reminds me of back when WoW first released and Blizzard was NOT prepared by any means for what happened at release and several months after... SW-ToR is going to be the next big thing in the MMO world regardless of what the naysayers are saying.... You guys think WoW was BIG? You ain't seen shit yet! Just my opinion....

Originally posted by Krytycal Just as an FYI on a lot of the guilds listed on that server, they are former SWG player from a server that have been working together to all play together again in the SW universe. I don't know how typical that would be of regular guilds. /shrug |

people c'mon think a little, or do a check, 99.5% of those guilds are 1man creations that will never see the light of day and dint meet the required min number to be setup in the game right now by the guild program |

And the large majority of the players arent even on those guilds |

There are many, many unguilded people as well. I know of 4-5 large WoW guilds coming that haven t even registered. Literally anyone I know whos playing this game doesn t even have a guild. Thats alot of people not even on that list. |

I would think more people are unguilded than guilded. Usually on launch days you have very few guilds running around. Then when you figure in the kind of game ToR is (heavily story based), you'll probably have many people who want to concentrate on the story first before getting into guilds and having to talk on Vent. I suspect that quite a few people won't even think about joining guilds until the Operations at endgame. They are simply having fun in game first. |
