Guild Background/History:
Arch Overseers played Everquest from release until Dec 2004, on the Bristlebane server. Towards the end of our stay in EQ, during the PoP, GoD, and OoW expansions, AO was at the very top of the food chain worldwide. We had numerous world firsts, at a time when many other guilds were struggling due to the difficulty of the GoD expansion.
We struggled ourselves during the OoW expansion, not due to difficulty, but due to numbers and impatience with incomplete expansions and raid content. OoW was released before GoD was even complete, and we got fed up.
We took a break from serious gaming, but then formed up in Vanguard, and dominated our server until there was nothing left to do. We got fed up before they managed to release any Raid content, and took another break.
We formed up again in Age of Conan, and again dominated our server, with multiple server first raid kills. The raid content in AoC was some of the buggiest content we had seen, and the game didn't really offer anything else to keep us interested while they fixed the raids. Once again, we took a break to recover from a disappointing MMO.
We gave Aion a try when it released, and had a few server firsts on raids, but the PvE never really challenged us. The PvP was fun, and we participated in fortress wars in the abyss, but challenging PvE raids is what drives us and we never found that in Aion.
We played Rift when it first released and continued until SW:TOR came out. During our time in Rift we were among the top guilds world wide, and were the most progressed guild of our faction. We were respected on our server, and had many people transfer to our server to apply to AO. The raid content in Rift was very well done, and we enjoyed the incredible challenge of Hammerknell. Recruitment issues and the release of swtor ended our raiding in Rift.
Arch Overseers was a guild that people transferred servers to join, due to our legendary leadership, and our consistent success. These accomplishments might not mean much to newer gamers, but it is just a way to demonstrate our hardcore mentality. We are the type of people that even when we try, can not play a game casually. These are the type of people that we are looking for. SW:TOR had better be ready.
General Guild Expectations:
1. Be available to play UK evenings. While there is no required play time for casual members, you are expected to log on once every 14 days or you will be removed.
2. Expect to group with guild members first, and to be vocal in guild chat regarding the formation of groups. Most players will understand if you need to leave to go join your guild.
3. While we are an international guild with players throughout different parts of the globe, we are an English speaking guild.
4. Have an open mind and don’t be easily offended. If you can't handle being ordered around during raids, or accepting constructive criticism, don’t bother applying. If you can't handle foul language (I don't mean insults, just swearing in general) don't bother applying.
5. Mumble is a requirement to attend our raids, and is available for casual use as well. The details are located here
6. While we do not have an age requirement, we expect all who wear our tag to be respectful and polite to people they encounter throughout the game. We surround ourselves with people we want to be around, and so should you. We are not about babysitting or restricting your actions, but about upholding our reputation.
7. Your forum name must match your character name. If you already created an account with the wrong name, send a PM to Darkgecko.
8. Trials may last anywhere from a week to a year (but usually about a month), it all depends on how many people think that you would be a valuable asset, and whether you would be a good fit. If you are curious why you haven't been accepted yet, just ask an officer for more information.
9. There is currently no level requirement.
Loot Rules on Guild Events:
As has been done since the birth of AO, loot distribution is decided by the leadership of the guild. By saying that, we reward those who will be the most beneficial to the guild as a whole, and of course vital to our success in clearing raid content. AO is not a stepping stone guild. Do not join expecting to be showered with all the best gear available in the game. If you are not prepared to pioneer raid content in this game, without the assistance of guides, videos, DBM (Sorry, WoW reference), wiping for hours on end, do not bother applying.
Guild Ranking system
Leader - Darkgecko
Senior Officer - Vabtoo, Changg
Officer - Reinaldo

Alt - Full Members may have alternate characters as long as they are played, no mules in the guild.
Trial - A new recruit who has been invited on a trial basis.
Goals:
Our fundamental goal in SW:TOR is to help each other level up and experience group content. Our overall guild mission is to do whatever is necessary to tackle end-game raiding content as it presents itself.
Who we are looking for:
Arch Overseers is seeking players who are mature, easy going, know how to have fun, yet also know when it’s time to buckle down and get serious about kicking some ass. We expect all players who apply to be very knowledgeable of their class, and know how to adapt to different situations at any given time. We have absorbed many skilled players into our ranks throughout the years, in many different MMO’s, and we hope nothing to be different here in SW:TOR.
