So since the official forums, I was hoping someone could clear up a few quick, stupid questions for me. 1.I purchased the game (pre-ordered). Do I need to subscribe to be able to play for free trough early access and the free month period? I read something about a seperate purchase code. 2. Does early access begin Tuesday for everyone? Or only for certain people? (people who pre-ordered earlier, collectors edition, ect) Thanks
Waiting for: Archeage, Darkfall 2.0, and Planetside 2. R.I.P Shadowbane; The best MMORPG I've ever played...

You don't even have to purchase the game at time of release to play in early access (You just need to have pre-ordered). If you want to continue on with your account however you need to purchase the game within some amount of time after the official release and apply the code from the box (Or the account gets turned off). When you load up the game your account will automatically be flagged for early access and you won't have to enter credit card information to access the game.
Early access is determined by how long ago you pre-ordered. If you pre-ordered 5 months ago you will be in on the 13th. If you pre-ordered today you will probly be in on the 18th if you are very lucky or the 19th more than likely. |

The earlier you preordered and put in your preorder code the earlier you get into the early access. I preordered last week, I'm betting I'll get in on the 19th lol. |

Early access is based on when u redeemed your code. I redeemed mine day 1 7/21 of this year. So the earlier u put in your pre order code the earlier u get access 2. To play from the 20th on u have to input the code u get from either origin for digital orders or from teh box u are mailed to play . 3 i assume at that time u will put in your credit card or payment method . But u get 30 days with order of game so u wont pay anything for 30 days. hope that cle4ars things up and for anyone whose gonna whine the early access thign isnt fair . Its as fair as it gets . i pre ordered without a release date as did many others. This part of early access has been known since day 1 of pre order availability for anyone who read there pre order faq also. |

@namelessbob There is ZERO time after the 19th without key. Bioware has announced it and as of Friday the forums were still up in arms about it. You may have early access until the 19th but unless you have your box and key code by the 20th you WILL not be playing until you type that code in.
Edit: And yes, the earlier the pre-order the earlier the access. This is WELL documented fact. The only thing people don't know is the exact whereabouts of the roll-out. Meaning if you preordered last week, will you get in on day 4 or on day 7. |

Originally posted by fooflinger They confirmed this a long time ago, and I love that people think if you preorder now your going to get atleast 1 day, thats really not the case, you MAY get one day, but itsa highly unlikely may, just because they advertised that you might get in doesnt mean you will, its really just a good ploy that dumb people fall for. So I have been somewhat confused about pre loading the game. I bought and fully paid it off with the origin version of SWTOR, and it definately only has download as a greyed out option for me. I contacted EA support and they told me to wait a couple of days. I don't honestly understand that response considering the fact that its just a pre load and not early access. It's been close to a week since I pre ordered it. |

Originally posted by Panther2103 Were you sent a preorder key to put into your accounts key logs? cause if not, then your not going to be registered as a preordered account, and you wont be allowed to download the game till launch day after you've put in a CD key Mess with the best, Die like the rest |

Originally posted by Panther2103 Do NOT use Origin for anything but buying the game. Do the rest with the download from www.swtor.com/download and then the launcher from the install folder.
EDIT: Make sure to redeem your Early Acces key on www.swtor.com. |

Got fed up with Amazon.co.uk as they would not say if the product would be delivered on time for the 20th or not. So my order with them is cancelled. I bought the Deluxe version from Origin and i think someone has answered one question in that i just use the normal download client and not through Origin. Other question is with the Origin orders does anyone know what happens on launch day. Are the serial codes emailed to us or is it automatically applied to the SWTOR account when we go to log in? |

EDIT: By send out the Game Key I meant through E-mail if you purchased the Digital Download from Origin. |

Originally posted by Acebets70 YOU should learn to read. Your access date depends on WHEN you pre-ordered. It's first come first served. So if you pre-ordered AFTER August you will NOT be able to play on Tuesday 13th of December. I know this is not official, but use some logic. |

Origin is also mailing out there box copies by the 16th so people will have them by the 20th. So buying from origin ull have your game code on time They have stated on forums they will email game code to digital customers on the 16th that said u dont need origin for anythign else . U download game at swtor.com u will patch through there client and so u wont need the origin thingy to play tor. My g f has it on her comp but she has sims 3 as well as tor she has got from them. Oh if u pre orderd and cancled with amazong your amazon code if u put it in gets u early access but u can put any game ccde in when it comes time for playign game launch day. |

As before, when your Early Game Access begins will be determined based on when you redeemed your pre-order code. You will be emailed on the day you are being admitted to Early Game Access to confirm you can now access the game.
Not everyone starts on the 13th |
