I don't usually comment much on forums trends, hence my low post count, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents about the future of SWTOR. Lately I have been reading a lot of posts about how the game will lose massive numbers once the population starts reaching the level limit and it seems to me that many people are extremeely shortsighted. I'll start by saying that if you have ever played an MMO at launch you know that there are ALWAYS hardcore groups that will powerlevel up in the quickest and most efficient way possible, even moreso on PVP servers. A number of these people will always complain that there isn't anything to do at max level because they steamrolled through the game playing 20+ hours out of the day skipping my anything that isn't essential or necessary, I'm guilty of doing this myself when I was younger and had loads of free time. Playing casually this game can take quite a bit of time to meander up through the levels with lots of missions, crafting, space combat, and others things aside leveling through. The future of SWTOR in my opinion is a bright one. BW/EA officials have repeatedly mentioned longevity in one form or another. With the amount of capital that was poured into this title I would make a safe assumption that there has already been a considerable amount of developement on future content already. End game already has a great base for a lasting experience. Granted there are a lot of things that need to be tuned a bit but you'll have operations, flashpoints, warzones, open world pvp (if you choose a pvp server), space combat, world bosses, and then of course cleaning up missed missions. Considering how polished and solid everything feels in game already I would guess that BW would have more time and energy to focus on upcoming content rather than wasting man hours on problems that should have been fixed in beta like so many other MMO launches we have experienced. That is quite a bit of end game content for a launch. I'm pretty sure we'll see a lot of changes, tweaks, and whatnot quite ofen after launch and content in the not too distant future. Anyone who didn't have a chance to get to the high end content or was unable to play beta, playing threough SWTOR was probably one of THE best MMO ecperiences I have ever had, and I am eagerly anticipating release to play through again. The game is engaging, fluid, and beautifully created; what more can you ask of an MMO? |

I agree , I am not a hardcore pvp player so the fact that there is not alot of pvp features in this game yet especially for the space combat aspect of the game does not bother me in the least. The incredible content that makes you eager to quest and want to know more about what happens is the what differenciates this mmo from any other for me . |
