Really good deal. He who keeps his cool best wins. |

It's a slick move on their behalf.
Competition in the market is a good thing. Lower prices. More QUALITY content (hopefully) to keep people playing.
I'm still jumping over to SW, but it's good to see them lowering prices so new people can play their game. |

Originally posted by Loktofeit It's $35 in total; $5 for the battle chest, $10 for WotLK and $20 for Cataclysm. And yes, it sounds like a good deal. Triple A MMOs usually stay pretty expensive. That is if stores are stocking PC games. "Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference." I need to take this advice more. |

I am not a fan of the game anymore but it is a well polished game, with lots of content, lots of players, lots of patch upgrades and until now lots to do for a new player on budget that doesnt want to spend money on a dead game with no players or risk spending money on a new game that dies in 3 months. Is it a game for a player that has spent countless hours playing over 7 years? Not really but to some folks yes. Is it a solid fantasy MMORPG with very few bugs for a new player and until just now cheap to buy, YES. The whole $35 deal is pointless for players that have paid for the expansions one by one. It is aimed at the new younger or older players that have never had a go at it. It is for that that it is a good deal.
*The Imp that sits by my side cussing at me for spending a couple thousand hours in this game years ago, whispers me and says he is glad to see the King of MMORPGS show some humility and admit that the 800 pound gorilla is running from the pack of wolves chasing it down...*
That is something we have never seen before.

While it has squashed some games that could have been it has also raised the bar for the games that will be. That is a good thing IMO... |

For a laugh I had a look at the EU deals. It really makes the US deals look like a bargain. |

I'm this >< close to resubscribing again, what with finding SWTOR kinda meh and knowing that people who stay in WoW are ones who still enjoy WoW, not so much self hating elitists. This could be a great time to get back in, especially with the new Looking for Raid tool, I never was very good at dedicating my time to rading, this all sounds soo good.

they should do it like eq 1&2 where the base game automatically comes with all the expansions except the most current one. RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid. Currently Playing EVE, POTBS Recommendation of a game you probably haven't tried: POTBS, Atlantica, L2 |

It's a crazy good deal and I've never seen them price a game this low. They are in full court press against SW:TOR. But it's all for nothing. |

I wonder if Blizz will do this deal again starting the middle of January? Im sure they have something in mind for the first of the year. |

Absolutely silly to compare EVE and WoW. I wouldn't expect such inane comparisons from an EVE player. "Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference." I need to take this advice more. |

WOW players are used to having to buy all previous expansions in order to play the new one, which is why this seems like a bargain to them. For players most other MMOs that sell expansions, it's normal to have all the previous content come with it, so this really isn't anything out of the ordinary.
