It looks like a few people are complaining that the reviewer didn't write anything positive about the game. I did see a few positive remarks, but why should he be required to say something positive about this grindfest?

Thats just it its not a grind fest. im sorry but if u played tor beta at all the one thing u realize is that tor is not a grindfest. Sure u have to do quests its an mmo , no offense in an rpg mmo u have to do quests. They dont feel grindy though. Im sorry i dont mind when people post stuff thats actually true. Crappy character creator, no customization for ui , although i liked ui i can see why some didnt, There are other things that arent perfect in tor but questing and grind isnt a problem or issue and neither is story This site isnt a site id trust with any themepark review. its called sandboxer for a reason no themepark is gonna get a good grade here like i said call me when a site taht actually matters puts out a review not all these off the wall sites people never heard of before. |

WOW I actually have to take up for TOR on this one. As much as I loathe wow clones, that is no reason to give the game a bad review. Gamestyle doesn't equal game quality. Also a sandbox mmorpg site talking about the graphics of any game is a bit of a stretch, to date Darkfall is the highest level of graphical achievement in sandbox mmorpgs. And I love some sandbox features in my games, but look at the games on the reviewers site, most of them are vaporware honestly and one of them has pixil sprite graphics. So I dont understand the elitist attitude. |

Originally posted by username509 Well after reading silly conclusions and reasoning like this: "Gameplay: 1/10 The gameplay in Star Wars The Old Republic is absolutely horrible. Just like World of Warcraft, Rift, or any other themepark MMO most mobs will just stand in small groups maybe 30 feet apart from each other and will only agro in those small groups. So you may be killing a mob, but there best friend standing just 30 feet away won’t even notice all the loud blaster fire or screams of there dyeing friends. "
I give to sandboxer.org 0/10.
Oh, and when I see comment like this: "Innovation: 1/10 It’s a StarWars WoW Clone. "
I can only give to sandboxer.org -10/10.
Wondering how many visitors they have. |

I didn't expect this much debate over a simple WoW clone, even a StarWars one. Never trust a screenshot or a youtube video without a version stamp! |

This is exactly why I never trust review scores from anywhere. I know pretty much before I even enter the game what I'm getting into, either from reading information on the game, or watching videos. Fair score from my beta experiences (i got into all 3 weekends) would be 7.5 out of 10. Some of the starting areas were bland and not very good, however after the capital city "planet" the game gets very interesting and the story is really great. Launch client will probably be a little better, so maybe even an 8. CPU: Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor(2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB) |

I'm not sure why, but it truly seems that some people are on a MISSION to convince others not to enjoy SWTOR. People are so fracking strange and twisted. What is their investment in it to want to convince people not to play? What do they gain from that sort of foolishness? President of The Marvelously Meowhead Fan Club |

Who is Sandboxer.org..?? Really, are they even a proper website or just a bunch of monkeys? I've never even heard of them until today, shows you how much they hit the right market! After I beta tested SW:TOR I was surprised how good it was. I was not really sure that it was going to be that good, but I can say I was proved wrong. I will be playing when it launches, that's for sure.

Originally posted by just1opinion Actually, I think you're spot on with that observation. There's little 'live and let live' attitude to be seen. I think it's several reasons, simply boredom for one, people not having any MMO or game to play and bored and frustrated making them vent, what I'd like to call the 'grumpy old men' effect how people complain about current state of things and how back in the days in the glory past of their memories everything was so much better. Then there's the factor that if an MMORPG people dislike ends up to be hugely successful, it might be a continuation of a situation they dislike: 'if more themepark MMO's end up to be hugely successful, then we'll never get the sandbox MMORPG that I really want', that kind of thinking, which has people embark on a crusade to bash the MMO they don't want to succeed. And then of course you have the people who can't imagine that an MMORPG that they themselves despise can be enjoyable for others, a lack of empathy or understanding of the 'tastes differ' concept which leads those people to believe that there must be something wrong with others who enjoy things that they themselves dislike. Since most people consider themselves and their own tastes - consciously or subconsciously - to be superior to that of others, this leads them to the conclusion that others and their opinion are inferior and thus needs to be corrected. Anyway, those are my guesses after observing these forums for a while
Of course, with that I don't mean the people who have in their eyes valid criticisms about a game that they like to discuss; it only becomes one of the situations mentioned above when they can't accept that those criticisms might not be the same for other people and might not hinder others in enjoying a game like it does to them.
