So are you guys going to bring down thier servers on day one?

How many would it take to crash the node, 2 mill, 5 mill, 10 mill?

Who knows, what is certain though is its going to be an eventful launch to say the least, probably the busiest launch in MMO history. I won't be playing at launch for a change though, ill let the dust settle a bit first..

I think it will be a very clean launch. The only "problem" is the enormous queues. (Not really a problem since it should be that way). Dont think lag or server issues will be a problem. 

yea bioware needs 300 more servers at launch pronto!

To prevent apocalypse of the servers. Im more worry about their server meltdown from millions of logins.

I would presune companies like EA or Bioware would know a thing or two about load balancing...

Sorry.. had to say it. But seriously I expect with the way they are handling pre-release and if the number of servers are anything close to what we had in beta it should go pretty smooth .. maybe a small que but hey.. thats kinda to be expected with so many pre-orders sold and the popularity (despite the haters..) of the game.

Given the staggered early access pattern, maybe there's a chance they can get it under control.

Personally, I can't wait until the hysteria and hype-driven denial dies down - so I can get a true idea of what people will think of the game.

It's not that I think it's a bad game, just a horribly derivative design that needed to die years ago. I think, apart from the story, I'd almost rather play Rift on a long-term basis.
