I believe in life before death... So dont forget to enjoy it while you still can. |
To all those wating on GW2, and getting unpatient, what do you plan to do till it releases.
I am currently in SWTOR beta and i think it will keep me busy till GW2 arives somehwere next year, as i am going to play the game for the journey and not for the goal (enjoying my own personall movie in the Star Wars Universe)
So is it an option for you to play SW:TOR while wayting on GW2?
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |

Not an option for me. I can't afford monthly fees, especially now, thanks to the extreme weakening of my country's currency... =/ Plus I'm not into Star Wars anyways, so I wouldn't pay for it even if I could, to be really honest. I'm going to play Lineage 2 next week when it finally becomes free to play. I'm going to try Dragona global when it comes out (later this year?). If these won't keep me busy, I can still watch movies to kill time. I always find something to do when I'm bored, lol. |

i am not a sci-fi fan. i am not a starwars fan. i am not a subscription fan. and i am not a fan of the standard MMO formular. so no its not an option and will not be. thats it read how to create a succesfull mmo before posting about GW2. And read tao of ArenaNet before talking about innovation in GW2 |

No, not going to play SWTOR. Just waiting till GW2 comes while playing Aion in mean time (waiting for Patch 3.0) Played: Guild Wars, AoC, Lotro, CoH, Warhammer, Tabula Ras, Spellborn, Second Life, Rift, Aion. |

Firstly, you spelt "Waiting" wrong. Secondly, I will play SW:TOR and try it out for 2 or 3 months, just like how I'm doing with Rift. These games are merely filler and I'm mostly playing them because I'm new to MMOs. So I want to see how these generic games compare to GW2, yet I don't ever wanna try WoW. |

I'm in the SW:TOR beta right now, and to be honest, for me personally...the game is worse than I thought it would be. I will definitely not be buying it.

I tried the beta and didn't like it. I do think we should all try all games, especially when they have a free trial or a beta. The only person who can tell whether you're going to like something or not is you. Just food for thought here. We're all GW2 fans. Everytime someone watches a video and doesn't like it, our natural response is saying what can you tell from one video. It works the other way also. How many games have we looked at one video and decided that it didn't look that great? If we want people to have an open mind about GW2, we should keep an open mind about other games. Also be aware that people can like and want different things out of a game than other people. The SWTOR forums might not be such a shouting match if people would keep that in mind. |

I'll be playing it, at least until GW2 is out. I don't know if I will afterwards. Waiting on: Guild Wars 2 |

I dont understand the point of paying all this money on a video game to "hold you over" until another MMO comes out. However much money the box costs + 2-3 months of subbing seems like a waste of money for something you aren't enjoying that much and with throw away after a short time. Tried beta, it was alright but no I will not be buying it. I am waiting for GW2 and not playing games until then (except Skyrim of course). |

Skyrim, i've been hitting Skyrim Nexus site everyday have over 30 mods running, the game is running like a dream and looking stunning after the the Xbox360 textures are replaced the HD looks Sumptious. I think when these clever Modders get hold of of the CK kit this will be the best game ever for longevity the possibilites are endless as there are 1000 odd mods now after only 2 weeks !! Also amazed that my rig is running this so well as many ninja rigs are haveing trouble compared to my medicore setup neigh make that astonished.

In the SWTOR beta along with everyone else and their grandmother. Honestly I don't like SWTOR. I can't get into it. It seems so stiff, bland and boring. I know I will not be purchasing it when it releases. I foresee a big flop for SWTOR tbh.

Black Library books(some new omnibuses{spelling?} are coming out) and other games are going to do the trick for me. Star Trek>40k>>>>>>Star Wars Mixed>>Sandbox>>>>>>Themepark F2P(especially B2P)>>>>>>>P2P Books>>>>>>>>>>>>>>most of today's games(sad true-where are the games like Morrowind or Baldur's Gate or Planscape?) Mythic staff working on it(clowns who ruined my beloved Warhammer Online:Age of Reckoning):----- So, no. I will not even try it because it is not worth my time. that is my opinion and you can not change it. That and the Bioware of old is like bye-bye. Say hello to games riddled with DLC, of low quality(once upon time they used to produce games that were a mix of game and a book-today's Bioware games are only virtual books which cost FAR too much{I can buy like FOUR Omnibuses for the price of average Bioware game{that is like 3 200,yes THREE THOUSAND and TWO HUNDRED pages!}). |

Not at all interested in SWOTR. Minecraft and Skyrim eating up all my spare time until GW2 is released. |

Only if GW2 is more than 6 months away and/or the price of TOR doesn't drop dramatically, AND if I'm bored enough to play a Bioware Star Wars game. The combination does not grab me, personally, but otherwise, I have a lot to do offline, and I just started Skyrim, so I'll worry about having nothing to play when the time comes. ......and looking at all the Steam sale games I've bought and haven't even finished, it'll be a while. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

I'm actually quite enjoying the SWTOR beta at the moment, and I'll certainly buy the game to play while I'm waiting for GW2. I was a late arrival to GW1 so will be finishing up the elite areas and Winds of Change over the next few weeks anyway, but I can see SWTOR being fun until next year. I'm not sure it will have much longevity, but it will be great to play the story through - I found it very engaging even after two days. SWTOR seems to me to be a rough diamond at the moment - still needs some work but there is potential there. Whether that will be enough to keep playing it alongside GW2, only time will tell. |
