Most people seem to forget about the Christmas sales. I would expect EA to update some sales figs after Cyber Monday, maybe again at the new year. -Nearly every single bad trend in MMO development was started by the developers.--Wordiz |

Now that the NDA is lifted you'll probably going to see a surge in sales this month... |

I'm going with 1.4 in the first week counting digital sales. Then it is long tail from there. |

I'm going to have to go with 2 million plus boxes plus whatever digital sales. It's at 865k already just from US box pre-orders, meaning the total is already likely upwards of 1.7 milion if you add those from Europe and the rest of the world. God knows how many digital sales there will be but it wouldn't surprise me if they end up matching or exceeding the box sales. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

Originally posted by mrxennon In other words, you launched an offensive because I noted a simple observation on the nature of marketers? I'd be interested in how you arrived at the conclusion that making a profit is somehow immoral inherently. I suspect that you won't be able to find a direct source that agrees with that viewpoint. But, we're treadiing into thread-closing territory here. I think I'll pass. Apologies to mod-persons.

3 to 4 millions worldwide by the end of the year. I was thinking of these numbers 6 months ago. "To be a rock and not to roll..." |
