Originally posted by I_Return It is 18,5 GB.
If you have old client that got patched over and over then it can have over 30 GB, cause game does not delete all old data.
But freshly isntalled client (or if you remove old and reinstall new) will take 18,5 GB - at least as of today. |

i got three gigs of it just last night with a 56kb/s connection. so it will be done before beta most likely.
it is beyond annoying when people say to upgrade your internet. if i could upgrade the internet i would have already freaking done so. some people enjoy living out in the country, the downside is this comes with usually crappy internet connection because big money companies like att wont get off their ass and make broadband available everywhere. my state has even paid att to make sure everyone has broadband access around the state, which they did do, its just really slow dsl service.
i feel your pain op but just let it run or try to go to a internet cafe somewhere that might get a faster download. or make a long road trip to a different country. |

All I have to say is: At least you can download. I've been trying to get verified on the website for 2 days now. Between the site maintenance and the thousands of people banging the site now, I can't verify. No verify = no launcher install... |

Downloading it for 3rd time after 2 times getting Error on 43% of 4th part of Assests. Fun times. At least doing os with 5 mb/s so consequent tries don't take so long... |

If you are using an o2 or 1&1 / versatel / primacall whatever then i must give you credit while the DSLAMs belong to mostly DTAG or Telefonica , Vodafone and so on. As to your download speed... well it depends on many things not only your Sync rate but also the quality of the line , of your inhouse whiring and so on... This isn't something that will 100% guarantee it will help but have you tried a DL accelerator or something? You can perhaps a couple KBs more at best and ensure that your dl doesn't get interrupted. On a side note... got at home 16000 line, works wonders, would rather have my parents line tho.... 100Mbit on fiber optics line :P and they only use it so watch tv... :P |

I downloaded fast and without any problem. But issues always happen so don't panic if something not going well at first sight. Patience is a virtue....!!! |

I live in rural Texas so I feel your pain...I use a wireless "broadband" service provider and at most it'll do 110KB/s on a 1mb/s plan, but it'll only do that for about 30 seconds and then it throttles down to 30KB/s. I can't even get through 360p youtube videos without constant buffering. For downloads like these, I have to use my phone tethered to my computer. It doesn't throttle and I have unlimited data. Speeds range from 140KB/s to 230KB/s. Hopefully I'll get both of my computers done by this weekend, but my phone is on me at least 10 hours a day (work), so for that time I'll only be getting 30KB/s....sigh. Like you, my only other alternative is satellite, and that 's not happening. BTW I pay $95/mo for that 30KB/s...wouldn't mind paying it for some of the speeds I'm hearing people mention here. My plan is to add a phone to my cellular service and use it as a modem 24/7, and then lower my wireless "broadband" service to their 256k plan....which is still over $50/mo. Why keep them at all? Lower ping times than other available methods for online gaming :-( |

I can't.
