I did a quick google search and there appears to be plenty of ISP providers in Germany, maybe not in your area though. If that is the case, I suggest moving for your net :)

Thats not the problem.

The cables are all owned by the German Telekom. Those different providers all have to loan the cables, and the Telekom does not set the connection higher, so it doesn't make a difference if I chance the provider. I could only install satilite, and that is way beyond what I can afford.

And here in the US people actually want us to become more like Europe with net neutrality where the goverment gets to control the flow of internet traffic. I cringe at the thought of this.

Well it took longer than I had liked but I got done today. Wasn't sure about the date, but now I kind of wished I had waited. 20gigs just sittin' there.

720 x 60 = 432 000

432 000 / 1000 = 432

432 / 1000 = 0.432 which I round to 0.4

16 / 0.4 = 40

40 hours to download.

Well Elikals Calculation might be correct depends on if he is measuring the speed in kb or KB.  Netspeed is often measures in kilobits per second or megabits per second.  Which means you would have to multiply your figures by 8

i downloaded this game 24 hours ago and was done in 3-4 hours.

I am downloading the game right now at  1.5m/s so anyone in the states who Qqing about the slow download speed then time to consider getting urself another IPS provider

Germany MUST have cable and it can't really cost much more than a shitty DSL connection, I have a connection about the same as that whem I was living in Thailand from the state communications monopoly. This is the 21st century and you're living in the the third most affluent country in the world and that picture of your chancellor dressed in an SS uniform done in Greece made me horny! I use Virgin cable in the UK it says a 50mb/s download speed but when I test it it's only 23 mb/s with 3.8 mb/s upload.

Just incase you thought I was trolling concerning the beautiful Chancellor Merekel CLICK any man that wouldn't want her punishing him all night long needs to see a therapist for gender reassignment in my opinion!

FACT!

I find it singularly impossible to believe that you can't get internet with better than 120kb/s speed, while Telekom Online's site offers in its very first page 50Mbit/s and flat-rate 16Mbit/s.

It is amazing really that someone living in germany can not find a decent internet connection. I for one wish that i was in living in Europe, they have some of the best internet providers and speeds.

Nice trolling, i already downloaded it on 2 pc's with my shitty Polish provider Neostrada. And btw, blame your provider, not the game.

I have no idea how long it took to dl. I put it on when I went to bed last night and it was done when I got up this morning :)

your friend that was in testing and let you play - is he still in testing? Cause if he is, and he has the latest client, you could always bring an external HD over to his place and copy the game folder across.

As others have said, you should be ok anyway, yes it will take time, but I seriously doubt you'll still be downloading come Friday.
