Gotta say this is one thing that really frustrates me about the availability of the internet in the US.  Seriously everyone should have the option to get high speed internet wherever they live.  Luckily I have Fios but not everyone does and what happens if I move?  Also with providers like AT&T that cap usage..(refrains from choice language)  It's very possible I won't be able to get the same quality of support.  Feel sorry for the OP.. lived in the stix myself.  Know how it is.

I admit I a bad at math, thats why I consulted 2 download calculator websites and they told me both 10-12 days or so.

I just hope you are right. *sigh* You have no idea how many times I struggled with the fucking stupid telekom we have.

EDIT: EQ2 had a neat feature. When I tried the old F2P version, the game just downloaded what I needed, so I was able to play after a brief time and in the background they downloaded the rest, instead of it ALL in one big move.

That calculator results are for bits per second. The laucher is downloading in bytes per second. Eight times faster than the calculator results will show. Learn the difference between kbps and KBps.

How can you messure something that changes? If the speeds vary you cant really do that. And besides the swtor.com site is having major issues atm since its hammered by everyone that is downloading. So even if you get the security questions into the account you will probably download at really slow speeds due to the extensive traffic. And since everyone in the US stopped working around these hours the speeds will not be so top notch :)

So I suggest you wait til tomorrow, and have a good night sleep.

I had no problem with my download, it was 6-8 mb/sec whole download. Then again I live in Sweden so maybe our infrastructure of lines are better attuned.

BW can use Pando Media as they help people with slow connection to DL faster.

Took me 4 hours... time to get better internet.

Not even interested in Getting TOR, But I am kinda Itching to see what my Verizon Fios 150MB/35MB connection would download at :P BTW New York USA for Location :)   Fiber Optic The only way to connect lol, can't believe back in the day I had a 28.8KB connection :P BTW Tech heads, found a Reciept for a Sony CRX I purchased back in 2000, 105 bucks, to think I can get a DVD-RW with Lightscribe now for 19 bucks is amusing at the least

I'm getting 2.6MB/s on my FiOS.  Perhaps your DSL sucks.

Very happy here as I was expecting snails pace for the download and yet only took me 5 hours so not too bad :)

I have FiOS too, and even though I work in the computer/internet industry, I have never needed that much bandwidth.  In fact, 99% of the sites and services online rate limit you on their end anyway, so unless you are on some VPN connection where you use it for large file transfers, I wonder how you would even dent it.  Most medium-sized businesses don't need that much bandwidth. Cool if you want the bragging rights of paying for it, I guess.

Oh, and Verizon rate limits P2P/Torrent as well.

Downloaded the full client in 3 hours from Israel here. And my internet isn't even THAT good.

Seems like your isp could do better, OP.
