There is nothing going on with GW2.....

GW2 is becoming a great game and building great games takes time....

And from time to time they need to throw some bits and pieces of information at the fanbase to keep them happy....

Arenanet's legendarily skilled marketing weasels blew a infobomb timing like they was named Tobias Funke.

To be honest, I don't really care about anything other than seeing the last profession revealed at this point.  I'm not able to get excited by the bread on the table anymore while I'm still waiting for my frickin' steak to arrive!

As much as i'm eager to get into this game and have hopes its going to be here for the Q1 of 2012.  They are still working on a lot of stuff which concerns me, I'm now doubting that we will even see this game before Q3 2012.

Those models have gotten a face lift since I played them at Gamescom.

Do not remember them being that good looking. :D

Funny that they make a very manly looking guy...then just through changing some sliders, they made an extremely girly-looking guy, and then what looked like a male teenager. Looks like a lot of flexibility.

Looks standard stuff nowdays. Lack of hair and facial hair style was odd but hopefully they add more in future. Youtube video seemed to be done someone suffering ADHD, badly.

There was actually a lot more hair and facial hair options in the previous build of the demo.

Somewhere on GW2Guru there's a dev quote where they point out that they streamlined the selection to the hairs they were the happiest with, and touched them up, and that the other hairs are either dropped if they can't get them the quality they want them, or going to be improved, and they're adding more besides that.

So yeah.  This is a really streamlined, short list.

In fact, the whole Korean demo was streamlined and shrunk, because it's a lot of work making everything (Like voice acting and text) in Korean.

So it was only humans and less areas than the previous demo, and while they had the improved human character customization, it's with limited options.

edit:  Also, I wouldn't exactly call that level of detail standard.  It's actually still the minority of games that allow any appreciable level of character customization in the face.
