"...will be one of a rare and relatively new breed of full-3D browser-based games capable of rendering console-like graphics, characters and environments without the need for a client download." Yea, it is possible. It is the future. |

If i log on here one day and there's an announcent post of Blade Runner being made as a browser MMO i think it would be /slit wrist time. At the rate they're pumping out the famous IP's cheaply it may not be too far off either :( Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

You guys realize that Total Recall is about to be finished with its Reboot, right? And Schwarzenegger isn't in it. I would think that this MMORPG will be based on the new movie. and I'm okay with that because Kate Beckinsale is in it. |

Originally posted by VirusDancer If made by a decent company and into a proper MMO the highlighted one could have had potential to be a bit different. MMO's are mostly land based with a small handful based in space and only one that i can think of on the Ocean. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

Originally posted by VirusDancer Wow, it's worse than I could have imagined. You know the genre has jumped the shark when they want to make a Michael Jackson online game. |

Waterworld would be an excelent sandbox endeavour if done correctly. ie not a browser game. |

Agreed. Not even among the Arnold's better movies, certainly not even in the top third of the "classic SF movie" list. Someone wanted to make Terminator but couldn't figure out how to make it work as an MMO (or couldn't get the rights). Too old for this, am I. |

I heard Blizzard is watching development of this game closely. They will offer a free headset which will emit a memory wipe after a brief blackout. The player will then wake up to see a full screen image of your old World of Warcraft account and login. Players will think it is a new game and log in for the first time... |

I consider myself pretty knowledgable about MMOs, no expert but I follow them pretty closely, and I never even heard of those 2 companies. That doesn't neccesarily mean that the game will suck, but it usually do when a unknown company license an old movie. |

I know this is all crap and yet it still captures my imagination... prolly why they keep licensing IPs to wrap their turd of a browser game in... This is NOT AN MMO. Not any more than Farmville is an MMO. |

It will be crappy like the Nintendo game that came out over 15 years ago. It doesn't make sense to make a game out of a movie that most kids in this generation never heard about. I predict it will be a crappy free to play.
