Thanks to our own Paragus for the tip from the League of Legends forums. According to a new developer post, Season 2 will feature a new team ranking system.

Ranked teams will feature captains that can add and delete team members. Teams can then queue up to be matched with teams 5x5 or 3x3 action.

I don't understand why they are adding more ranked stuff. they need to add a guild system

No, fuck guild systems and ranked 5v5/3v3. They need to add a system that focuses in individuality.. I always place 1st or 2nd in matches, yet I still have a win/loose ratio on 65/35, because my teammates are outplayed by the enemy team, and I get no credit for being good, so unless I commit to 4 other people and group with them every single time, I will never advance. And my RL friends don't play..well..computer games at all, so it's killing the game for me, since I don't have the time to "practice" with 4 internet-dudes each day of the week.

I agree with you about the whole having time thing. But a guild is more than just four people. If you are in the same guild for 5 months, you will get to know people and know who you play best with. Also, guild requirements, don't want anyone who can't speak english, no one under 21, no haters or trolls - Join our guild. and never have to grp with those people you hate again.

I get your point Joshua, but it would require all of us to be online at the exact same time, which would require us to be from the same region (which isn't a problem in LoL, since it's already split in regions) but there is just so much planning and searching for the right people. I just want to log-in, press [PLAY] and get rewarded for MY performance, not the others.

 It's a team game.  The only way to see what you want happen would be to make a 1v1 format (which IMO would be a complete waste of time, energy, and resources).  Otherwise you and your overall W/L ratio are always going to be dependent upon others.  In a baseball game if the pitcher is having an awesome night, but no one on his team can hit he still gets a loss.  I mean that's pretty much everything that involves a team for you. 

65-35 W/L ain't bad IMO.  I mean it might not get you to 2400 ELO, but still...
