since this game went f2p i have heard that a lot more peeps are playing which is great to hear.has a f2p guy i thought well i will give it a good try out before i commit ..only thing is whenever i try to play i,m in a god awful queue..just tried to log on there and i ended up being around 900th in the queue. my question is,are they trying to sort out this problem.i have no problems about being in a queue for a short time, but 900th is a bit much...and i cant be bothered waiting.i mean are they gonna put a new pve server up..anything been mentioned? |

Now that is a pain in the ass....I dont think they expected that many players there servers where cut down to nothing, so this new flood of players has I would guess overloaded the cap hopfuly the actualy do somthing cause the game was always fun just not $15 of fun lol |

At least you can play. I have been able to play, at times, on my level 30, but everytime I create a new character it messes up when I click "play" after creating him, sometimes it deletes or does not save that character. Other times when I create a new character I get randomly kicked back to the character select screen losing all progress I made on customizing my character. As of yesterday though I couldn't even get logged into character select. It kept saying trying to connect to log-in server, then saying different variations of not being able to connect, whether failed to connect to the login server or some other error code. ---- They will not be making a new server, I am almost 100% sure. They combined all servers into one mega-server for a reason, and I doubt they want to spend money or time on bringing a new server back to life, just to close it again in a month or two when the "newness" of F2P wears off, and new games such as TOR come out. It is a pain in the ass definetly, but what can you do? At least you aren't waisting your subscription days like I am. (granted I have free days somehow, but still, they are being waisted by me not being allowed to play.) I would say that legendary subscribers should get preffered treatment as far as que wise and connection wise, but ah well, it's not like I paid for my recent time anyways, plus I believe people would just complain more. I am entitled to my opinions, misspellings, and grammatical errors. |

I'm sure that they will open few more servers if needed, they surley would not want to loose potential customers du to long queue wait. |

Trying to play on the EU PvE Server I get into the queue, when it's my turn a splash screen pops up Then it's supposed to load but after like 15 minutes I still have the splash screen. Was able to play alright until yesterday. Did the hotfix break anything? |

Originally posted by munecaroon The same thing was happening to lots of player last night on the EU server as well. When you consider the amount of time the devs have had for the P2P to F2P changeover you would expect them to have expected a large increase in players but seeing as this is SOE I can't say I'm surprised. |

I feel your pain man... I was a subscriber and never had any gameplay or login issues or anything wrong before F2P. Since they launched F2P I've been able to login and play only once and I've tried multiple times per day. After a few tries I go to the forums and sure enough multiple people have usually already posted about the issue I myself am having at the time. My re-up date was 11/4 and needless to say I went in and cancelled the subscription so I wouldn't be paying to NOT play. I've been playing Champions while I wait for DC to get straightened out but I may just stay with CO. Unfortunately for SOE there are plenty of decent MMO's out there right now and if the average user can't get the game to run (even if it's user config's fault), that could be a killer to DCUO. I'm willing to give them a little more time though as a free player. |

Cannot get in at all, anyone know if SOE gives updates on server status somewhere? Doesnt seem to be the official dcuo site. |

Queues of 3000+ on the EU PVE server at the moment. If you create a new character though, it doesnt show you the queue, just the splash screen, which is quite annoying. Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom |

From what I could experience so far in game, it's well-done. Graphics are outstanding and combat is fun (if you don't have to combat lag that is). I really want to give the game a chance. Played CoX for 4 years and CO for almost half a year and DCUO pulls ahead in terms of graphics and action pace (but needs help in the chat and social tools department). Have a good time in Millenium City! Wish they could add a save costume thing like in CoX and CO. CoX lets you stay in the char gen even if the server goes down (I used to do that during their server maints to work on costumes). |

Originally posted by zevni78 http://forums.station.sony.com/dcuopc/forums/list.m I was able to play the game yesterday and today and I even did inner sanctum (one of the hardest raids in the game) without any disconnects. I guess it's better to get in before peak time. This is not a game. |

For those of you in the que, at least something is happening. When you finally leave the que, you get dumped into the pattened SoE never endging loading screen. Well, then eventually it crashes and disconnects, but then you get to go back in the que again! Yeah! |

5433 in que, for both pvp and pve EU servers, I guess SOE cannot learn from past mistakes. Its a pity, i love the IP and the combat is certainly less boring than most mmos. I guess I could play WoW till 2am, and then log on, pays to be a night owl. |

I tried to log in about 45 minutes ago and was about 9800th in the queue! The number reduced quickly though and in about 20 minutes I was ready to get in... but now I have been stuck at the loading screen for 20 minutes *sigh*
shouldnt try to play at prime time... at least until more servers are up or people give up on the game... Favorites: Vanguard SOH, Final Fantasy XI, Dungeons and Dragons Online Future: http://vgrpgblog.blogspot.com/ |
