Where you type /banish and it takes that person out of your screen ( they are still there to others ) and you never can hear from them again. Since this game will attract every tom dick and harry- the overwhelming buttheads will be in full force. My 2 cents =)

Please no.  What a useless pain the ass encumberance systems are.

Nonsense, nothing like someone planning a seige as your 8v8 roll up on each other and as the rogue tries to flee to debuff his strength and watch his ass slo-mo try to flee as he tried to dump the seige equipment he was carrying.

1) 2 Handed Axes. Although I can't see any of the classes thus far, besides warrior, that would likely use the weapon, they are a staple in all the fantasy RPG's I have played. Big axes were even in the novel so not sure why it was excluded for the game.

2) Rare or Nutoriouse monsters. I love the feeling of exploraing off the beaten path when there is the possibility of a rare monster lurking in an area. Also when the monster has a chance to drop something worthwhile it makes it a very nice bonus. Could be a monster that triggers an event or drops a rare crafting mat or item, IDC.  I haven't read anything that says there will be none in the game so I'll list it just in case.

- agree on 2H Axes.

- there are rare mobs in Guild Wars 2. they're called "champions" and they're bigger than normal for the most part. there was a champion spider in the human starter zone of the demo, and there's a champion "branded" spider outside of steeleye span. there is also a champion in the level 60 asura demo, i will dig up the videos in a little while.

A likely possibility since the three Orders are already in conflict on how to defeat the elder dragons. And the Charr is still laying siege of Ebonhawke even with the truce...and truce are not meant to last.

IMHO, just as the Destiny's Edge falls apart due to conflicting goals and priorities, so will all these alliances.

Umm, why not just shoot his leg using Pin Down? O.o?

Ah thanx for that Fony. I had never seen that video. This makes me pretty excited since it plays into my explorative nature. I had heard that there would be some sort of mini bosses, just wasn't sure what they were there for and assumed they were linked solely to DE's somehow and not creatures just out an about. I really don't have a lot of complaints yet so mine are small.

I know I am opening up pandora's box here with this thread because I am positive there will be alot things asked that are not within the philosophy of ANet, such as themepark style raiding, Epic Loot grinds, Flying mounts, or FFA PvP.  With that being said though theres no way for me to stop anyone from wanting those things but after watching many developer conference meetings and tons of time on the forums I am pretty certain none of those things mentioned above will ever be included so I would ask you not post those ideas and stay within the spirit of my post.

For me the two biggest requests I would love to see added in the game are:

1. Non-Instanced, Old School explorable dungeons such as the Wright Burrows in DAoC or Black Death Catacombs of Asherons Call.  I feel that good old "non-linear" explorable dungeons that are open for all add a great sense of depth, intrigue, and mystery to a massively multiplayer game and I miss that style of content greatly.

Did you ever see some video's of Sparkfly Fen? there is a huge dungeon part there part of the Dynamic events. I would certainly be surprised if there weren't more area's like this with explorable open world areas that are below the earth and feel like old fashioned dungeons. Only this time they'll be part of dynamic event chains making sure they feel dynamic on top of the old dungeon feeling.

The other is:

2. Player Housing-  the personal story zone is an awesome idea but I think it can be expanded upon by including a personal house/mansion/villa,  Some of the best times I had in Asheron's Call is decorating my house and having an awesome atmosphere that was designed by me to kick back and call home.  It adds alot of depth and individual freedom that isnt often seen in todays modern themepark MMO.

Actually i dont have many wishes left.... I think i need to play the game first and then i can say whats missing...

I would love to see 2 additional slots on the action bar, that allow you to choose 2 more basic skills... upping the number from 3 to 5...  This would give people a lot more freedom to build their characters... (Maybe a good idea for an expansion box, as this certainly will not happen before release)

Another thing i can come up with is a combination map of RTS and PvP..... where either one player controlls the NPC's in a RTS kind of way... OR where NPC's move along set lines from one target to the next (Dota).. And where the rest of the players just PvP...

On top of that there are still some nice types of spells missing like the old fashioned DAoC theurgist spammable pets, and some other things only seen in DAoC... would be nice for the elementalist Spawn and forget pet that switches based on the atunement.

In other games i could allways produce long long lists before release of (in my humble opinion) needed feautures... This tells a lot about how favourible i view this game...  What every game needs tough after release is a good ballance between the introduction of new features and keeping that which was allready awesome intact.

The difference is if he wasn't carrying extra weight the debuff would have a marginal effect. Thus the risk of a strength debuff is a tactical risk in a seige situation. Pin Down wouldn't shape seige combat as a weight system did for DAOC for example.

That's a tough question... GW2 is shaping up to be an awesome game so....

Wait, yeah...

Body blocking aka colision detection IN PVP ONLY. The way they did it in WAR worked pretty well and I'll be missing that feature in GW2 I'm sure.

It would work just fine and all the current reasons thats not implemented can be dropped by simply allowing people to actively dodge pass boddyblockers...

That's a very good solution, actually...

I wonder why I didn't think of it before.. Maybe because we learned of no body blocks before the dodging info became available.

I think they should just stick to how they did in GW.

Colision detection on for for all hostile targets - Be that PvP or PvE, but none for frienly targets (avoids jerks bodyblocking orthers in towns/outposts).

Now the wish for "augmenting weapons (and armor)" described by jvxmtg here... THAT would be great!

Well the problem is that they are NOT siticking to it...

At the moment the official stance is that there is going to be NO body blocking in GW2 :(

It sounds like they are doing that to at least some degree.  http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Upgrade_component

Which references this interview.  http://www.cdaction.pl/news-20880-5/guild-wars-2---wywiad-z-martinem-kersteinem-i-erikiem-flannumem.html

CDA: Will it be possible to enhance our weapons by adding some specific visual effects to them, say putting flames onto a sword?

EF: Like adding flames? Yes, you'll see modifications that add such effects on the weapons. And if it's an upgrade, it always has beneficial game effect in addition to changing appearance.

The Mesmer.

Wait, that's not a feature.

So I'll say a system that allows PvE players to support their server in WvW by completing certain events or by donating craftables or raw resources to the fight.  WvW provides server-wide bonuses that PvE players can benefit from.  I'd like to see something to reciprocate that.

SInce I don't know very much about how WvW will work, I can't give direct examples, but it would be something along the lines of slowing the rate of resource use, increasing the rate of resource gathering, buffing NPCs and strengthening defenses of held locations.

The incentives would be (beyond doing *your* part for *your* world), special titles reserved for supporters, unique pets, unique town clothes and karma.  This would also provide people an avenue to trade their crafted items for karma instead of gold.
