- there are rare mobs in Guild Wars 2. they're called "champions" and they're bigger than normal for the most part. there was a champion spider in the human starter zone of the demo, and there's a champion "branded" spider outside of steeleye span. there is also a champion in the level 60 asura demo, i will dig up the videos in a little while.

Originally posted by mmogawd A likely possibility since the three Orders are already in conflict on how to defeat the elder dragons. IMHO, just as the Destiny's Edge falls apart due to conflicting goals and priorities, so will all these alliances. |

Originally posted by fony Ah thanx for that Fony. I had never seen that video. This makes me pretty excited since it plays into my explorative nature. I had heard that there would be some sort of mini bosses, just wasn't sure what they were there for and assumed they were linked solely to DE's somehow and not creatures just out an about. I really don't have a lot of complaints yet so mine are small. RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and Paul Gray. |

I would love to see 2 additional slots on the action bar, that allow you to choose 2 more basic skills... upping the number from 3 to 5... This would give people a lot more freedom to build their characters... (Maybe a good idea for an expansion box, as this certainly will not happen before release)
Another thing i can come up with is a combination map of RTS and PvP..... where either one player controlls the NPC's in a RTS kind of way... OR where NPC's move along set lines from one target to the next (Dota).. And where the rest of the players just PvP...
On top of that there are still some nice types of spells missing like the old fashioned DAoC theurgist spammable pets, and some other things only seen in DAoC... would be nice for the elementalist Spawn and forget pet that switches based on the atunement.
In other games i could allways produce long long lists before release of (in my humble opinion) needed feautures... This tells a lot about how favourible i view this game... What every game needs tough after release is a good ballance between the introduction of new features and keeping that which was allready awesome intact. The difference is if he wasn't carrying extra weight the debuff would have a marginal effect. Thus the risk of a strength debuff is a tactical risk in a seige situation. Pin Down wouldn't shape seige combat as a weight system did for DAOC for example. |

That's a tough question... GW2 is shaping up to be an awesome game so.... Wait, yeah... Body blocking aka colision detection IN PVP ONLY. The way they did it in WAR worked pretty well and I'll be missing that feature in GW2 I'm sure. |

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus That's a very good solution, actually... I wonder why I didn't think of it before.. Maybe because we learned of no body blocks before the dodging info became available. |

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus I think they should just stick to how they did in GW. Colision detection on for for all hostile targets - Be that PvP or PvE, but none for frienly targets (avoids jerks bodyblocking orthers in towns/outposts). Now the wish for "augmenting weapons (and armor)" described by jvxmtg here... THAT would be great!

The Mesmer. Wait, that's not a feature. So I'll say a system that allows PvE players to support their server in WvW by completing certain events or by donating craftables or raw resources to the fight. WvW provides server-wide bonuses that PvE players can benefit from. I'd like to see something to reciprocate that. SInce I don't know very much about how WvW will work, I can't give direct examples, but it would be something along the lines of slowing the rate of resource use, increasing the rate of resource gathering, buffing NPCs and strengthening defenses of held locations. The incentives would be (beyond doing *your* part for *your* world), special titles reserved for supporters, unique pets, unique town clothes and karma. This would also provide people an avenue to trade their crafted items for karma instead of gold. |
