I was thinking that 4 tanks and a healer is a viable and effective group.  One of the upsides is that you don't have the squishies in the group, everyone has High AC and HIT POINTS.  So the healer won't be wasting mana saving the wizard-types who get agro and take damage alot.

I was in an inneffective group, and that was 4 enchanters.  Everyone was expecting the other person to do the job required by only one enchanter and no one was bothering to mez.  DPS was next to zero, and it was a travesty.  One of the worst groups I was in.

A good way for a group to fail is trying to do stuff that is too powerful for them.  Not having a healer also is a group waiting to fail.  4 tanks and a mage.  that isn't a good group.  As soon as the monsters can muster some effective damage, its TPW - Total Party Wipe.

That's kinda what I dislike about a lot of MMO's today. If you don't have a healer, you can't run a lot of content. Want to do some pvp? Nope, they other team has a healer and we do not. They will out last us so it is useless. Want to go grind some? Nope, not unless you want to sit and heal after every pull.

/hate healer dependency in my games. =/ (Don't take the healer out of the series though! Just my 2 cents on the MMO market =p)

Guys!   It's been a while and FOUR TANKS AND A HEALER needs help getting a full season!

Episodes 1 and 2 hit the net last year (as you know) and we've got some really awesome feedback.

Now I have a few weeks to wrangle a list of potential investors in order to do a full season!   We've got TheOneRing.net (biggest Tolkien site there is) as our launchpad.   We've got Mark Ordesky (Lord of the Rings producer) onboard as my "Yoda" and exec producer, we've got a full-season arc planned and plans for DVD distribution.    We are a "GO"!  

Now, all that's left is funding this monster so that we can make it happen.    Figured I'd check the MMORPG forums since you guys are the core of the core audience-wise.    If you have any ideas, send them to me (larry) at lawsonmoonrunner at gmail.com!

Kickstarter.com seem viable? Tho' I think it's cool having the backers you have already.

yeah, we've talked about using Kickstarter or Indiegogo but the fear is that it sort of makes a project seem less legit... and it runs the risk of us coming up short and ultimately loosing 3 months of time we could have spent making our show.   It's a tough call since the project already has a bit of "swag' going for it.

So i love the whole reference to SWTOR put in there with the title, my friend who plays says he can't seem to get people in that game in his guild to stop making tanks and healers. LOL 

Then a few minutes into the game i see they combined elements of the LOTRO and WoW maps they even have that swirly thing in the middle of the map in the Sea LOL

Thanks.   Can't wait to MAKE more but we've gotta get the funding first.   I sent out tons of emails, bulletins, etc regarding it so hopefully we'll get some bites this week.    I know how popular the series could be with the gamer gen so it's not like I'm gonna give up on it.
