TERA New Content Update

Starting last April 20th, Blue Hose studios came out with a large scale road map of what the future holds for Tera starting with the unveiling of "Dooms of Talon". Now BHS will update what that future road map will be.

The future road map with consist of Four major updates starting in Q3 2011 and continuing in the next coming months. 

1) Fragments of a Dream
2) Dark Crevices
3) Daughter Oia
4) Giving up the Ark

Fragments of a Dream Patch

- Item Enhancements
- Production of Rare Material
- Getting fragments from a new Top Dog's dream and Shara.

This is just an intro that will introduce a new New Top Dog (New Titian ?) and his dreams contain the essence of Tera. Using these "Dream Shards" a guild can open up a "Black Crevice" to port them to other Servers to PVP. Other Servers will be able to take over town/Citys and change the dyamic of the world. (Sort of how Rift's NPC are able to take over towns and settlements.)

To balance out the power, the server matching will change depending on how many "Dream Shards" guilds have collected on a server. Shown below...

Dream Shards can also be used to produce's more guaranteed results from crafting, sealing/resealing system, and item enhancement. Dream Shards will also have other unique features player will have to discover. 

BHS has decided to put PVP/ Guld warfare before PVE for the time being, so Guild Halls/Housing will be scraped for the time being, while the PVE dungeons content will be pushed back to a later date. 

Dark Crevices Patch

-This is BHS introduction of Dynamic Content. 

The Argon have gotten a hold of Dream Shards, and are able to make their own Black Crevice's. Throughout the world of Tera Black Crevice's are will be spewing everywhere, either from another invading server, or invading Argon's NPC's hell bent on taking over town and settlements. 

This Black Crevice Dynamic system is exactly like Rifts Dynamic system, either other servers will come through or Argon NPC's will come and invade and take over the server.

Also this patch will introduce the prison system, other members may be forced into prison. More details to come. (They didn't talk much about this at all)

Daughter Oia Patch

Due to the massive invasions and use of Dream Shards, the Top Dogs and Arunn and Shara's dream begins to shatter! This shatter creates a new world, called Agaia. Agaia will be a open World PVP RVR with multiple forts, each fort will have it's own instance for the winning server. With up to 4 servers to be able to participate in. There will also be super Bams and resources to compete over. 
(Sounds just like Aion's Abyss to me...lol)

Other servers will come together and compete for RVR warfare.

Giving up the Ark Patch

Scheduled for later into 2012, the shattered dream begins to expand. What will the future of Tera behold ? A new area above Agaia emerges with mobile cities, the largest being Juras Ark. 

Servers will be able to occupy Juras Ark and it's mobile cities through peaceful political means. But Guilds who occupy these mobile cities can declare war and thus these cites can be taken though PVP. More instances come from these cities. 

A new Class will be introduced and new mount. Plus a new continent. 

Conclusion

Due to the new Tera Update BHS has now posted a new road map.

Black Crevices and Daughter of Oia Q.4 winter/2012.
Giving up the Arch spring/summer 2012

We at BHS are listening to the cries of lack of content, and we hope in the next coming months we will be able to give you a game you will be proud of. We know that there is demand for more PVE dungeons, and a PVE raid and will take it into account for future updates into the future.

Are they still following this plan? This seems awesome with tons of great player-generated content with capturable cities and bases.

I hope so because right now its a bit out of order because we got the Black Crevices. which is the nexus.

So i'm hoping we get Fragments of a Dream and Daughter of Oia because they are kinda related as in Server vs Server.

And than ark probably last but from it i guess Ark will be our siege.

This is old info (if you check the link you will see its dated: 2011-09-16 01:48).  Some of that info has already been added and some of it will be added in the 2nd part of the last patch they had.

This was posted last summer and was the vision that BHS had for Tera. I know things have had a minor setback. YH Park left BHS around this time, and a new director Dong-gun Lee took over. So their has been some change of plans.

But I know from Lee that he is still working from YH Park's original vision of TERA, and adding in his own flavor. So things might change abit from that original vision.

But this vision is still in BHS future plans.

Also ya pretty much, now only do you have a instanced based SvSvSvS, which is like GW2 only its 4 way than 3 way more the better right =P (jk puts on anti-flame suit) But you also get a OWPVP server vs server where you can to invade other server and take over their towns, now idk about you guys but thats like FUCKING amazing, i can just imaging the fighting it would be lol, where not even towns are safe zones any more >=D only problem is they got to fix the collison issue in town. Maybe you colloid with all enemy model while in towns/safe zones that could work.

Also the Arch is like seige so thats nice too ^_^

Shows you how you can't trust Bluehole when they are 1 year behind their schedule. This announcement was made in july 2011 and nothing except rifts (copied from RIFT) were introduced (and they still need to work on them since at the moment they are so laggy they are almost unplayable).

Instead we even got no battleground until end of Q3.

So almost very other company is a merketing scam? I hope you realise many games, speically one that doesn't have heavy funding behind (even those that does), fall behind on things. Also its a road map, what they hope they can achieve, its not like o these will be put in game by xx than xx day come and o sorry we aren't done. Thats marketing scam, giving player a general overview? Hell tons of game do that are they all marketing scam?

You guys know there losing the lawsuit in korea right? If they lose there then tera will be bye bye.

On another not EVERYTHING they are talking about adding is already in other games so none of this is new content per say. Also most of this won't work with there current game setup.

Umm maybe you should get your facts strait. The lawsuit in Korea is over and BHS was found not guilty.

Yes it's scam because the good companies don't make such claims "we will have this awesom X at day y"

They work in silence, don't make such claims and make their work speaks for themselves.

This was out july 2011 and look how much they managed to do in almosty a year: they just copied the rifts.

That announcement was made because of marketing. Tera's launch was a disaster in Korea, players were ragequitting in droves in the first months and they needed something to make people stay "see guys? don't leave us. See how many awesome things you will have in the next few months?".... not.

You should trust only what's already implemented ingame not marketing scam.

BTW i can read this announcement after almost a year and this is really funny

Err no please inform yourself, EME has posted an offical response which i'll find the damn link in a bit. but here what it said:

"Over the last couple of years, we've been working to release TERA. We're close to getting the job done right, as TERA closed beta test players can attest. But since February, we've been subjected to entirely too much innuendo related to a lawsuit filed against our startup by NCsoft in the United States—a suit that seems designed to disrupt the launch of TERA in North America. The latest round of that innuendo even goes so far as to try to drag in a separate case that was brought in Korea not against Bluehole, but against certain former employees of NCSoft.

In the event you've read the court filings here in the US, you'll find that they're remarkably easy to read for legal documents; they certainly appear to have been written with an eye toward public opinion. NCsoft is a billion-plus dollar corporation, so they can afford to have a team of high-priced lawyers spin out reasonable-sounding documents. What is a fact: If you're a legal scholar, you'll note that NCsoft hasn't filed a motion (known as an injunction) here in the US to prevent the launch of TERA. That's kind of surprising, because their legal documents originally said they would supposedly suffer grievous harm if TERA is launched.
Another fact: If you read NCsoft’s complaint, they actually admit that their motive in bringing the suit is to prevent Bluehole and En Masse from competing with them: "Since the release of TERA in Korea, NCsoft's Lineage sales and market share have declined, as have sales and market share of other NCsoft products."

To our fans and followers, we want to let you all know that we are not going to let a corporate bully or baseless rumor mill derail us from focusing our efforts on delivering TERA to you on May 1, 2012. "

It gets particularly interesting around page 8. I'm not a huge fan of NCSoft, but I have to admit that once I started reading that page I thought I was reading about TERA. When I realized my mistake, I was like 'holy shit', they actually do have a very legitimate claim here.

It's going to definitely be an uphill battle for BH/EME on this.

I saw the official statement EME made, but I've also seen official statements that say the exact opposite. I wouldn't trust what either developer says when it comes to a court-case. It's best to find the official statement directly, and not via the participating parties. Even a third party would likely give you better info that a statement issued by NCSoft or BH/EME directly.

I am very informed thank you very much, and that article is a bold face lie. I even reported as such in a similar topic a week ago. Ncsoft has been paying western websites to publish these lies to try and give Tera in a bad light.

A lower court found BHS guilty and had to pay 5.6 million. But in a appeal those charges were dropped and now just recently the supreme court of korea upheld that decision.

Why..

Because as much as you all like to spin it, Bluehole and Enmasse did not exist when this lawsuit started, so they can not be sued of anything. Not now, not ever, it is why BHS won the appeal and won in the Supreme Court.

So the Supreme court had no choice but to go after the individuals, instead of the company. They charged YH Park and 2 former Ncsoft employees 2 billion won each. Which is exactly the grand total of 5.6 million US NCsoft was seeking, and they got 1 year prison terms with 2 years probation.
