I think the game is going to be great when it releases, my fear is future expansions. I played WoW since beta 2004 and just stopped 2 weeks after I had bought 3 copies of the Cata expac. I hated it and ended up cancelling all 3 accounts to wait for something better. If they take the time and not rush the expacs to make them as good as if not better than the original release this is going to be a game we are all still playing years to come, at least that is my hope for me. Man am i having MMO withdrawals |

I think they should reconsider the server reward for winning WvWvW. It reminds me of the bad favor system at the start of GW1. |

My advice to Anet would be to get rid of the drag n drop crafting and node farming bullshit. Integrate crafting and gathering into their dynamic event system. Themepark is not a sub genre, its an excuse. |

My advice? Have a poll and opinion soliciting system for every important decision. I know they likely won't have a forum, but it's very easy for fan forums to delete posts and even threads that disagree with the position of the moderators/administrators of that fan forum. So you can't trust that. You should never trust that. You should only trust a data source that you personally have control over. I'm not saying a forum, I'll say that again, but if there's an important decision to be made then they should poll the playerbase from a data source that they control. |

Only worries with GW2 is NCSoft.. They have had some really colossal flops in the past..Aion.. CoH.. |

CoH was never a 'flop', let alone a 'colosal' one, so stop that. Even Aion can be argued to not have been either, considering the numbers it sold in and the revenue it generated, and the fact that it still has a vibrant and pretty stable player base in enough numbers to maintain active development and profit. Saying that though, I agree with with your point on that one more. I felt let down by it at launch (though it is a LOT better now). But don't drag CoH in this just to try and make your point more valid. |

One piece of advice? Do not listen to the complaints of the general masses. Listening to the userbase has created more problems than were being fixed in many cases. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

Originally posted by Uzleb Thanks for your words :) It's just that I've seen so many good games (that had potential) to be instantly ruined by their game development team barely giving it a chance to succeed. Which is what is a shame IMO. So I don't want this beautiful game to get rubbish reception at the start and fall to its knees then and there itself! But you say that Anet knows how to handle their games so I am more at ease now. "Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference." I need to take this advice more. |
