And that my friend is the truth! One of the things i so enjoy. 8)> Glad to see you noticed the limited play time for crafters per day. |

Originally posted by phamannn The point still remains. If you just wanted to see how things are in game even couple of hours are enough. The crafting and number of chips is limited but everything else is open without any time or day limit. Thi is much better then 7 day or 14 day free trial. |

Crafting is passive and time based. So they have to limit it for free accounts, to prevent abuse. |

No one is disputing the better then trial/ 14 day free play. Some of us care to craft more over going around questing and killing. My satisfaction comes from the ones using my armor/weapons/items i made to slaughter those dungeon/instance bosses etc. If limited crafting time is in effect- that then limits my play time, concidering crafting is all i do. |

Originally posted by phamannn 8 hours is a lot. for crafting per day. And i am only basing my opinion on what you wrote. 'i just want to see how things are'. There is a big difference in what you said and what you are expecting. You could have just said i want to play this game completely F2P and don't want to spend a dime on it. That would be more honest. |

These games fall like dominos, dominos ddominos. Yet another game to fall like a domino. How on earth could they come to the conclusion that it was a good idea? You would expect people who manage to make a game like that have some intelligence in them. |

Actually no, and i can speak for my self as i already do. Companies put out the f2p games. Thats not my call. However what is my call is to pay to play it or go f2p . Having subscribed at beta /launch i know what the game is. F2p gives those who choose not to pay a chance to play some of the game. For those who pay they pretty much get what they pay for. Now, if i choose to play by paying or not, decission is mine. Me choosing to craft while F2P makes no difference. Some one choosing to F2P should honestly have nothing to do with you. SO getting riled up over some one else choosing to go F2P and play the game differently then you might is not a problem. Least not to some others. Life is to short and problematic on its own with some people getting bent over pixelated fun and how others do things. You should understand not everyone will play and do as "you" want them to. Best wishes in the future...
p.s F2P means NOT paying anything. So why would i expect to be paying for F2P? 0o |

Originally posted by phamannn Because F2P is just a gimmick? go try some other F2P titles AOC, CO, COX and let me know if you can play it entirely without any restrictions. In the end they still need to make money to keep servers up. it would be foolish for them to offer entire game for free. F2P is like an extended beta trial nothing more. As far as getting bent over how you want to play, you assume too much. Nowhere i said even once that you shouldn't do crafting. But i do put a big question mark on your honesty when you said 'i just want to see how things are'. Which is clearly not the case. you want entire game for free which is unrealistic in expectation. |

The matrix shows that scavenger crafts at 80% speed. So 8 hours a day is quite long still, unless you plan to craft vehicles. Then its simply short. EXP, faction and AP gain is 75%. That is not that bad, at least you dont have to worry to lvl to fast and your crafting cant keep up :p The MMORPG.com article doesnt mention the cap on max amount of chips and no global chat access. Although most players make use of the help channel at start anyway. Some even dont ever leave that channel. Im kind of surprised that the free players can use mail and auctioneer without restriction. The vaults are not mentioned in the matrix, so if you have full access to those, then it really is a good deal. |

Actaully i play those as well, and yes they can be played f2p with the limitations on it. You just have to play within the f2p frame. Now my honesty comes under attack. Well, we all have our opinions. Again, you keep responding to my posts showing your bent/upset because i choose to play as i play and attempting to place words in my mouth. No need for that, my words are posted. You are more then welcome to read into it as you wish. After all free country right. You will never have every one else play as you want. Thats just the facts. Again, best wishes in the future... |

Yea SOMEFORUMGUY, your right about that. Yea, having to spend the time to gather/ harvest then craft will take away from my actual craft time per day. Also like you stated, the higher up you go less it will be. There is still time for more changes etc before launch, so ill have my ears on. |

Originally posted by phamannn Nah i am not upset about anything. You seemed upset about how you were unable to play everything for free so i was just trying clear some things for you. by the way compared to other F2P MMOS FE's F2P model is very generous in comparison. And no i don't want you to play as i want but i would still like to inform you that F2P doesn't mean that you are actually getting full game for free. This has nothing to do with how you want to play but how the game company wants you to play their game. |

I believe most of us who play games already know what F2P means. Sad to think that you feel that my post about limitations shows upset or hurt feelings. But then again we are free to read into things as we see fit. Your attemp at trying to explain things that did not need explaining just didnt work out. Although you may have had noble intentions, it just did not work. Best wishes in the future... |
