Theme park sandbox .. hmmm ..
It could work. Look to the stars to know HE is with us. HE hung them as markers, of times and of seasons. |

Had a blast playing the demo at PAX, the esper was so much fun (and totally adorable). And yah, that avalanche bug was frustrating, but they were cool enough to add extra time to my demo station to finish it. Definitely going to be following this closely

Kind of gives me a Phantasy Star Online vibe..... not really sure why.. but just can't shake it.
Even the way you explain the single skill that equates to the multiple combos like the weapons in PSO/U.

Spent a LOT of time at this booth during PAX simply because the adjacent GW2 booth was so friggin packed. The devs were supremely cool and incredibly excited to explain the game, even with their voices missing from shouting over the crowds for three days straight. It's one thing to have great PR people hype the game, but I really enjoyed having the lead artist walking me through the game and explaining why he decided to do things the way he did. Since the game looks so bloody good, I couldnt really argue with his choices. Added to the watch list for me, they sold me when they said "It's basically Firefly meets Babylon 5." |

Combat is sounding better with each read on WildStar. Dodging and being rewarded in combat and using jump to explore sound sweet. |

Damn I was hoping the actual game looked like that cool trailer :( |

What?! The art style is the exact same as the screens and gameplay footage, albeit less intense than the trailer. But when has a game been as epic and intense as their cinematic trailers? |

Style yes. But it doesn't look as nearly as good. Which is understandable off course. |

Usually not fond of cartoonish graphics but this looks really nice and I look forward the game play.
Thanks for the 2 sided interview.

Thanks for the mini-preview. I like the two author perspective of the article. This game looks so very interesting on many different levels. For one it sounds like the developers are putting some "game" back into the game. That might be the most exciting part of the review for me. Another aspect that intrigues me is the path system and the spontaneous challenge quests. The idea of mixing features of sandbox and themepark also piques my interest. The idea of having a community of gamers actually gaming with different roles forming a society sounds very cool. I will be following how this game progresses and how these potential features evolve. |
