I have the same problem...kinda...
As I have become sick of using regular tide Laundry detergent I have resorted to washing my clothes in just piss water. I have been to their web site and they are releacing Tide Ultra XXX Nitro eXtreem in 5 months But I dont think its for me.
So can anyone tell me what this new Laundry detergent has for me? Whats so good about it? I mean it is just soap really, right? Like I said though I have been to the web site , watched a bunch of vids of people washing their clothes with it. They even have a features section talking about it with other users. But yeah..I dont see anything there for me. Why should I use it? Kinda feel like I should..but just dont like anything about it..Please help! |

If KOTOR, ME, ME2, DA:O are games you liked to play. Then the journey in TOR will be similar and fun for you to play. If you like MMOs like WoW, Lotro, Aion, AoC, War, Rift and so on. Then you will like the MMO part of TOR. Simple as that.

first there is the question if this is, in fact, a star wars mmo.
after considering the obvious violations to the star wars principles, concept and ideals move on to contemplate if a static, linear gameplay best fits the freedom and rich variety the films portrayed.
passed that, you might conclude that your question is irrelevant.

The only draw to me was that it would be like a BioWare RPG but one that didn't have an end as far as my character is concerned. And the Star Wars IP. Originally posted by empyros It might be typical for single player RPGS but not for MMORPG. The only other MMO i remember to use companion system is FFXI but even in that game companion system is not that fleshed out. Which MMORPG you last played in which companions could influence your crafting? i could give you laundry list of what else is not typical in SWTOR but i have done it too many times. All info is in sticky on front page if one is interested in learning bit more about the game. |

That you don't like the setting is a minus but it still wont cost you anything to try it out. As for what fun TOR offers it's players it is mostly the same as most MMOs but with more story, full voice acting and a surprisingly large world from launch. |

I think there is enough information for you decide whether or not you want to purchase the game. If there isn't, then its probably not for you. Wait for a free trial then try that. They are coming for you! |

I am serious and i am really intrested in what swtor was all about i went to the starwars old republic web site i looked around and didnt see anything that made me want to buy it ive been to youtube looking at ingame footage and still didnt see anything so thinking id missed somthing i cam here to ask i didnt mention anything about guildwars in my opening post but i admit i will be purchasing guildwars on day one as i did see info in that which got me excited the biggest problem im having with starwars is when i take the lore out of the game and the starwars clothes off the people there appears not very much else in it for me
currently i wont be purchasing it but i will keep my eye on it incase somthing else comes along to show me what all the fuss is about |

Hmmm.... Let me ask you this: What are your choices? Which titles do you exactly mean by "other"? Guild Wars 2's 50 minutes game play video: |

If you list what you like or are looking for in a game, you'd get a better response here. "why should i buy starwars mmo and not any other" is hard for anyone to attempt to answer for you without some knowledge on what you're seeking. |

Originally posted by zimboy69 It all depends upon what you're looking for: - are you still able to enjoy themepark MMO's? If not, and if you've grown sick or averse of themepark MMO's, chances are very high that you won't enjoy SWTOR - do you still enjoy themepark MMO's? Then you could be in luck with SWTOR, because SWTOR is shaping up to be one of the largest if not the largest and most impressive themepark MMO around in several ways - it's by Bioware, so it'll have that BW touch. If you like BW games and liked KOTOR, you'll recognise elements of that in SWTOR. - it's Star Wars and scifi, to those that like SW or have grown weary of the fantasy theme, SWTOR can appeal - Its worlds are huge. One normal planet alone is already close to the size of Rift's entire world or an Outland or Northrend, and SWTOR will have 13 normal planets, 4 smaller starter worlds and (presumably) an unidentified number of smaller moons/space stations/asteroids. But with the normal planets and Origin Planets alone, SWTOR will very likely be one of the MMO's with the biggest total worldsize around, certainly among the themepark MMO's, and it's not barren, empty or procedurally generated but handcrafted and in the style of themepark MMO's, content filled. - SWTOR has bucketloads of questing content, and with the different Class Quest storylines and braching decisionbased questing it'll be vastly more appealing to fans of leveling alt characters than other MMO's. - with the Crew Skills, SWTOR will have a crafting experience that looks to be deeper, more complex and different from the crafting seen in most other (themepark) MMO's - SWTOR's endgame experience will be different than what's usually seen, with its multibranching dungeons that'll have puzzles, Crew Skills linked quests, and different paths based upon decisions players make, with its e-sports type of PvP arena like Huttball, and its stragic objective based PvP warfare, where players can conquer and destroy turrets and bases.
Those were a number of the things I could think of. If that's not your thing or you don't like themepark MMO gameplay that much anymore, well, that's up to you of course.
Originally posted by zimboy69 I happen to disagree, basically because of the obvious following: if you ask someone to name what's great or appealing of an MMO that he himself doesn't intend to play or about which he's indifferent or 'meh', then of course you'll get an answer like 'it has only the storyline and it's SW that is appealing, nothing else'. I mean, if that person could name more things he was excited and enthusiastic about an MMO, then he wouldn't feel 'meh' about the game, right? What use is it to ask someone what's the appeal about a MW2 or The Witcher 2 if he himself would dislike those games or only be lukewarm or indifferent about those games? You won't get to hear what'd be appealing about those games from those people who don't really like or care about these games in the first place The ACTUAL size of MMORPG worlds: a comparison list between MMO's |
