TITAN is an acronym.
T = Take I = Income T = Take A = All N = Now
My guess: Prepare to be nickel and dimed to death with cash shops, cross-promotional items, facebook ads, and loads of other garbage. |

Greatest threat to society is letting casualties of puberty reproduce. |

I think it will most likely be sci fi though I doubt it will be FPS. People love to change their appearcne and get new gear kind of hard to appreciate it in FPS. Though I may just be biased because I hate FPS games almost as much as I hate PVE raiding. |

Geesbus people, Activision doesn't own Blizzard nor do they have anything to do with them. They are separate companies owned by Vivendi, and neither company has a say or hand in each others products. |

Don't expect great artwork from a coder. It just doesn't happen. |

There was something from Blizzard a while back that has me wondering. It was talking about industry trends and the success that Zynga has had with their ultra-casual social games. Zynga makes tons and tons of money and that might be what Blizzard would like to get a slice of.
I guess my point is, Titan could possibly be a super-casual elaborate Farmville clone.
Is that even remotely possible? Blizzard and Facebook to conquer the world! That's a scarey thought. Currently in development Wizards and Champions (formerly ActionMMORPG) |

Hopefully its a game without mounts that look like Harley Davidsons and without npcs that have names that are parodies of celebrity names. In short I hope the game takes itself a little more serious. Blizzard makes good games, but the corny nature of WoW killed that game for me a long time ago. |

Sorry if it is considered necroing, but I recently wrote an article on my site about this exact subject and I think I pinpointed Titan's universe pretty well. My conclusion was that "We might be dealing with an Alternate History type of SF (one in which Atlantis didn't sink, and the ancient "city" of Teotihuacan is still thriving) combined with a post-apocalyptic setting. I mean, who knows to what horrible ending all this crazy history changing lead to? In other words, Titan's universe could be an Earth in terrible shape, brought to its knees by who knows what catastrophic event(s) and populated with familiar yet "wtf, you shouldn't be here!" historical figures / notions." If you want to read the entire article, with the complete reasoning behind this conclusion, just check-out the link in the signature. http://titanfocus.info - news, predictions and place for discussions about Blizzard's upcoming next-gen MMO. |

Originally posted by aquafusiondn MMOFPS is possible, but highly doubt it will happen. It will be hard to create a twitch-based MMOFPS since everyone have to be nearly zero latency. If they are doing MMOFPS, I believe they will do a hybird or charge-based combat since they want nearly everyone in the world to play the game to max the profit.
PlanetSide from 2003 says hi. And yes, it worked. Sure it didn't have hit locations and sure it had some latency-related problems, but damn it worked. If you haven't been in a PlanetSide 100 vs 100 firefight, you don't know what a well executed MMOFPS can feel like. |
