I'm considering it simply because its an iconic game which does so many things others should try, and improve. Despite some poor decisions it deserves a send off.

Sorry me and SWG said our goodbyes long ago.... I did forget to set my house on public tho... Sad to see all the stuff i collected just go to waste. Then again thegame is over.

If you have played WOW, then you have played them all. The next best MMO after SWG, is STO.

I've never paid any money to Blizzard / WOW, and may never do

SWTOR is just going to be WOW in a SW skin, so SWTOR will all be waste of money if you have played WOW

You ceratinly can pick some real award winners. 

I just play games which give me the most fun, or which ones my friends are playing, and not by which ones are the most popular

I say STO as it is the next best game similar to SWG with ground and space. Eve is probably better than STO but has no ground, and SWTORs space is on rails, but STO space is like SWGs space, where you can customize your ships and is not on rails, although not so open as SWG but has concentrated content resulting in not much empty space travelling, so in some aspects better thans SWGs space.

STOs crafting is no way as good. EQ2 is probably the next best after SWG for crafting, and LOTRO is th nest best for housing after SWG.

SWTOR will be best for quests missions, storylines and smooth bug-free lag-free gameplay

SWG basically has it all, but  is best for housing, space, crafting, social and community activites, but is just all let down by bugs and lag

I'd rather play a MMO that provides more stuff than it be a lot smoother, and I bet most of the storylines in SWTOR will go over my head as zoom through it all if doing it with other people who start to get impatient as I sit through the cut scenes. I rather play these kind of game by myself in single player games - storylines although are cool, have no real place in a MMO. In SWG and LOTRO and every other MMO, when doing quests with a friend I always either read it all too fast, or just click through it, so as not to keep them waiting, but then if I do it again by myself I then read through it all. SWTOR is not looking to have too many strong points

I do not find it a waste and that is why you are wrong. You can not tell me what I find not worth it

I pay the money so I can play the game. If I paid the money and did not play the game, then it would be a waste of money, and I would not play the game if I did not find it fun or worthwile.

Spending money on it now, just for nostalgia, imo, is just foolish. It's like buying TCG loot packs just to say you had something.

Been there and done that. SWG is NOT the best game ever and the fact that they are shutting this piece of crap down because of low sub numbers proves that point.

I will never put another dime into SOE after their shoddy customer service. This game was one of my favorites but they will not get any more of my money. All SOE titles deleted from my computer.

Another stupid thread lol, Soooooooo Resub now before Sept 15th and I get to play for free till December. Then all of that work from now till December is all but lost once the game dies on it's final day? Screw that!

It wasn't worth my time to use the 45 free days, and the game certainly isn't worth paying for.  As far as being paid to play it, well, it would depend on how much money is being offered.  It definitely wouldn't be cheap.
