You need way more options, dude. As for me, I like a lot about the game, but I'm still not going to buy it after what Blizzard's trying to pull.

EDIT: I guess that would go under the boycotting, but I don't really don't hate much about the game.

Not sure If Im the one to be replying in this type of thread as Im not really diging RTS, its weired cause I play games like World in conflict and company of heroes yet games like star craft and diablo I havent ever got into.  The game lookz amazing for sure, and If I could live two peoples lives Id be all over it but alas I cant so I wont be playing it either way. MMOs take up massive amounts of hours as it is adding RTS games to that just is overload.

opinions are like ... everybody has one ... there are more than 4 people.

well to be honest i thought of three options but i added another just to fill that other opinion i kinda had so feel free to say what you feel even if it isnt in the poll =)

Diablo 3 isn't an RTS you know. At all.

ya I wont be playing it cause I hate it, just cause I dont have 399 hours to spend doing so.

This. Diablo is a dungeon crawling lootfest . Most addictive game I ever played. Day 1 purchase. 

Smart of Blizzard to make the game work like Darkspore.

Havn't done much research, but I like what little I do know about it, including the real money AH.  I prolly won't spend any of my own money, but will from any sales I hope to make.

Just an FYI, Your poll is poorly designed and lacks balanced options.

"I like everything about the game! Day 1 buy" should probably have been: "Must have day 1 Purchase" balanced by a "I will  buy it when its on sale" option.

"I hate everything about the game! Not buying/ Boycotting" should probably have been: "Not buying/ Boycotting" and you could have possibly had multiple options why, such as cash shop/always on net connection/no lan play etc

"I don't mind really im just going to pirate it." Should probably been "my Opinion is irrelevant because I am going to pirate it"

"Im just going to be playing with friends really, i dont care." is redundant and seems to have no relation to the other options.

My answer would be "I will probably buy it when it is on  sale" (probably from Steam) why ? because D3 does not offer anything new enough to the genre for me to consider paying full price (I will probably get TL2 for half the price of D3) & I also disagree with corporate double dipping (which is represented in D3 by the cash shop) and do not want to encourage it by supporting game that double dip with my money.

Uhh, you know that Diablo 3 doesn't actually have a cash shop, right? This "cash shop" you're referring to will be nothing more than players trading items for money to other players... something that went on already in both Diablo 1 and 2. Suggesting that Blizzard is running a "cash shop" as it's known to the MMO world is borderline untrue. While they are allowing players to use real money to buy items,  Blizzard is not selling the items themselves, and instead are hosting an auction hosue with which any player can sell or buy items from another player. This is different than an MMO cash shop, because the item MUST be found before it can be sold. This changes everything, because instead of players spending money an item to which NO time was donated, then they're essentially buying the item. But if a player buys an item with which time was a valuable resource in finding it, then the purchase of the item because the purchase of time and the item. Without time, the player could not have found item, and therefore there would be no item to sell.

TL;DR  - This "cash shop" is just players trading with other players. It is not an MMO cash shop where items that boost xp, income, or somehow give another player an advantage without further work from another player is sold. It is importance to recognize the differences between the two types of cash shops, because it is unfair to pass judgement on one, then say the other is as guilty, when it is not even the same thing.

Agree about the optlions in the poll. I know I'm in the minority here, but I could honestly care less. I faintly remember ejoying the first diablo, but missed the boat on the second, so the whole franchise kinda faded into distant memory for me.

Where's the option for playing Torchlight instead?

     I have to agree here.  None of the options met how I feel about this game.  Basically I am completely neutral to it and have no intention of buying it so far.  I am keeping an eye on it though . . . just in case.

I'm just gonna agree with totalbiscuit. It's a friggin money printer that requires no maintenance. I'm not contributing to that. And no mod support? Come on man. I bet they forgot about DOTA.

How do you accomplish that?  Being that the game is online only and your characters are actually kept on Blizzard servers.   The whole point in them making the game online only is to prevent piracy.   Oh Im sure one of these days someone might figure out a work around, at which point I'll kind of have to chuckle at Blizzard. 

Speaking of which, the whole online only thing may very well keep me from buying the game.  No...its not because I want a pirated copy.  Its mainly because I like to play Diablo solo and kind of have the world to myself.   And, every so often I get sick of paying my net bill and then dont for a few months, especially when there's not an mmo Im involved in.  So when that happens I cant play Dialbo 3 ?   No thanks.    I know they're trying to prevent piracy.  Except Im not sure if thats going to help them earn any more money.  Most pirates will just play something else probably, instead of dish out cash for a game, or people like me wont buy the game just because its online only. 

Im pretty sure Im mostly alone in not wanting to play it because of online only.  But in regards to just me, they just lost some money, because I probably wont buy it just because of that.

Sure they will accomplish it. Just a matter of time. Not a long one I suppose.

for me I doubt I'll get it day one...and I HARDLY love the game..much less love everythign about it...I'm certainly not going to pirate it.
