TB has lost his integrity - how on earth could he review SWTOR without bashing it even a little?

If you think you feel exactly the same when you are playing WoW, Rift, and TOR, then you are nothing but a troll. Rift indeed is very close to WoW because it's grindy "kill 10 & 10 & 10 & 10 different creatures untill you're max level" and it's also high "medieval" fantasy just like WoW and has traditional RPG gameplay like WoW, yet it does not feel exactly like playing WoW, it's just boring as hell with the game structure it has (imo).

Gameplay is a very small part of the big picture when you look at the game structure, setting, pacing, features, smoothness etc thousand other things, otherwise there wouldnt be "traditional RPGs" that sell millions and get 90/100 in magazines, there wouldnt be shooters that sell tens of millions and get 90/100 in magz, because they are all Quake/CS/whatever clones.

Try to make someone understand anything in the sea of ignorant rabid emotionally charged fanboy teenagers. Oh and, rabid fans of game X or game Y dont get to tell other people what kind of games the other people should like and what they should not like, just saying, a person looks simply retarded who thinks he can.

Here is an idea. Play the game first. Would be easier to understand your opinion then. I can also make random comments about which game is better but it is childish to do so when both games are not even released.

Playing WoW for so long is his stated reason for disliking the hotkey style, gear threadmill.

If getting tired of something you have ever done makes you a hypocrite, then we're all big damn hypocrites.

I'm actually going to buy and play both. At the same time. If that makes me a whore I'll take it because they're both going to be great games and it's been a long ass time since there's been even one of those around.

I get the feeling once people see the gear itemization and rquirements to get the good weapons in GW2 is when that shit storm is going to hit the fan. Some of those pvp vids I saw of GW2 had those guys rocking 24,000 health buffed say what taking 3-4k hits with a self heal ona  45sec CD.

Pre mades are going to just be rofl'n people in that game like you can not believe, but 8 months out and running on hype does great for a game.

You keep jumping from one topic to the next to downplay Totalbiscuit's review. He loved them both, so stop being a lugnut. His personal (OPINION) favorite doesn't mean the other isn't as good.

Well duh. The 5v5 Tournament system is there for the competetive PvP. It's made for pre-mades just like WoW's arena was made for premades. The casual, hot-join PvP will have no consequence and will be there to fool around, plus it will have team re-balancing like FPS games. 

Maybe it's time people start plying MMOs with the first M actually making sense. Make friends, make your own premade, compete, maybe even win money on official tournament if they carry it over to GW2.

lulz you guys did it all the time to every article that was positive about Rift. Sucks when it is your game huh? TB already clearly stated he hates games with gear grinds. SWToR will have that. After they release a content addition it will be another tier of raiding and TADA there is the treadmill.

GW2 is supposed to be basically handing out the gear and running on the hope that the dynamic content will be good enough for people who are anti social by nature to want to bother even showing up to do. GW2 is essentially removing the "carrot" and seeing what will happen.

I love this this. You reply to another person, by starting with "I get the feeling..." which is basically what you where critizing TB for. You seem like the hypocrite.

They are absolutely right. Back in his Cataclysm beta videos, you could see how he was talking about being done with Hot key MMOs. And he is nothing special. Half the people on this board wants to rip out their own freaking eyes to get away from WoW-LIke games. Lots of us don't want it anymore. Some of us have been playing this de-evolving style of game for over 10 years. That has nothing to do with hypocracy. 

As for your GW2 comment, I just want to say wauw - so the inflation of the level of health these characters had, in this pre-alpha combined with his self heal was enough to make predictions about pre-mades getting rofled?

Btw, there are no pre-mades in GW2. Everyone gets buffed up to 80, gets the same level of armor and weapons. No pre-mades. Read up on the game.

Nothing more then a tight knit group of friends likes being told is that they can not group. It will be in GW2 like it or not. It will eb there because the demand will be that great,

Also who exactly do you guys think you are attracting to GW2? This is not that little Guild Wars community where everyone knows everyone. You are attracting the EQ/WoW/Rift/Aion/SWToR crowd who are the exact people YOU HATE and guess what they will want. The exact stuff you guys hate.

Like I said 8 months out it is impossible to debate anything GW2. SWToR is easier because it is much closer to release and we know the basic core of the game.

1. If he prefers GW2 over TOR, it means that TOR can't actually be a good solid game.

2. If he is tired of traditional hothey MMOs, he is not allowed to say (not allowed to have an objective view?)  that TOR also seems like a good MMO.

Also last I checked GW2 is also a hotkey mmo.

How can this idiot say ToR is a traditional MMO. GW2 is gonna play just like WoW more then it will be like GW1 (which was boring as hell). Quite honestly both games are gonna share lot of the same core game mechanics. Only real difference is story lines and the general themes. Where can I buy these drugs at, I wanna know what gamers are smoking these days cause they seem like bigger tools/fools then past gamers.
