I should add that I'll most definitely play Diablo as well as hundreds of other single player and online games throughout the year. I don't come here to read about them though. I come here to read about Vangard, Mortal Online, Wurm, A tale in the Desert, Archeage, Xsyon, Darkfall.... immersive MMOs that are pushing the genera and have true open worlds. |

idc what any1 says about how diablo should'nt be added, diablo is a very addictive and interactive game like diablo 2 which i had a loooooooooong time ago, even though i didnt play #1, the gameplay and storyline, spells, classes, and even the monsters made the game chllenging and awesome :P |

Guild wars and many other similar games are on this site. So why not add it? Personally, I wish they would alter the game list some so we could get a clear seperation between games that offer a mostly instanced world vs full MMOs. |

This site lost its identity a long time ago. Honestly, who cares what game you list here any more? I'll just do as I do now, click on the ones I want to know about and ignore the rest. -Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.- |

Huh? It's not an MMO. But do whatever you want, it's your site. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

if you add D3 you should also add the hack n' slash MMOs Path of exile (Free to play) Grim Dawn (indie game with former Titan Quest designers)

Add it or I sacrifice a puppy......
hehe jk.I Voted yes.Why not.It has certain aspects of a MMORPG.And honestly who cares if its on the site.If theres something on here you don't care about ,it's simple.Don't read it.But by adding it , you may draw in people to check out other games while looking at D3 articles , that don't normally play MMO's. Besides the votes have spoken.I think its great to have a wider scope on what you cover. Its not like you come on here and are forced to read anything. |

I vote yes. My reasoning is that nearly every mmo uses an in game currency auction house. They are a HUGE part of almost every legendary mmorpg. Noone can debate that WoW has the most subscribers. And since Blizzard made WoW, it is likely that the WoW userbase will take an interest in this game due to the fact that #1) it is a blizzard game. #2) It will not compete for monthly subs so both can be played at once. And since the vast majority of mmo players will be exposed to this new auction house system for the first time, (not saying its the first time its been done. saying its the first time most casual mmorpgers will see it.) i believe it has the potential to have a profound impact on the actual evolution of the genre. But thats just my 2 cents. |

It's not an MMO but you guys should make a seprate game list for non MMO's. I know the sites name is mmorpg but I see no reason there can not be other game lists to talk about. I can feel your anger. This game is defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike this game down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards towards the Dark Side will be complete. |

Why not just change the site to "Multiplayer Video Gaming" and avoid the hassle? The MMORPG genre has become so broad and watered down you may as well do it just to protect the site's raison d'être. |

I say no to Diablo 3, but that may be just because of my deep hatred of blizzard and how they have become one of the most materialistic devs around. |

It's sad to see how RPG = Gaining Level. Don't say "RPG - check" where the heck is Role Playing in Diablo series besides gaining levels. There's nothing RPG about Diablo as much as there's nothing RPG about many other MMO-"RPGs" that were released. They are all a bunch of Action/Combat centered "Games" with leveling mechanic. Leveling mechanic does not equal Role Playing. |

I don't think there's a clear line in the sand. I voted no, but my long winded opinion is sort of. People, including myself come here about MMO news. MMO being 1000+ to me. 100+ to others. It would be nice to include other non-MMO's or those that are a little fuzzy. But the list should then categorize them such that those wanting to find an MMO in the 100/1000+ sense... get just games that relate to that. End of Line |

They'd put Pong on here if it would increase Ad revenues. Personally I don't care. This entire article and thread is just to give you the illusion you have a say anyway. |

The real answer lies in defining "Massive" otherwise it's just an MO and doesn't fit the industry genre of games covered here. Diablo 3 has not change the battlenet organization of players so with player parties limited in size I don't see it being Massive at all. The will have a massive number of players pooled to group up but since they cannot interact in game at the same time enmass, I have to give Diablo 3 a no go for MMORPG's lists.
