It's probably already been said in this thread, but I don't have time to go through so many pages. This is the first mmo I've heard of that you can view the horizon 50 km away. That's amazing to me. In SWG I was lucky to get 0.5 km viewable with my graphics cranked to the max allowable in game. (ati radeon 9250 256mb) I've seen afew of the videos at the dnl site too, looks like the game physics are going to turn some heads. Skeletons flying away from an exploding orb of blue energy like ragdolls. hehehe Can hardly wait until Nov. as DnL looks to be the most promising mmo on the market. Gunther Nhilathok Roses are red. |

bwahaha horizen has better graphics lol thats like saying Ultima online has better graphics than EQII theres no compairesen Horizons had good graphics in part; other parts of it were lacking in eye candy. Just take some of the golems for example. I think it was the mud (or stone or something like that) golems that looked like they were paint-shopped. It will be interesting because while you are out adventuring at any moment a player of opposing faction could come and attack you. Man, when I started playing EQ2 I kinda said to myself "PvP wha!? I'll never need PvP again if there's all this content!" But truth of the matter is that I miss it more and more every day and games like Guild Wars, Lineage II and others which have optional PvP just don't cut it for me. There's no real attachment to it you don't truly have a reason to fight except to just fight. BUT D&L will have player made cities and with this will be faction. RvR, PvP, GvG, City Sieging, man I have got wood for this game. With luck it will be everything Shadowbane should've been and more and I loved Shadowbane.  (minus the sb.exe crashes mid-war  ) There's TRUE reasons to fight when you are protecting something you've worked for. There's people who complain about a meaningless death system, and y'know... I don't care. I could have a system where I just die with no penalty over and over AS long as the reason to die is a very good one, like protecting a city I've invested time in. Helping protect a community I actually feel a part of, not just some group of random people I don't know at a player made city I couldn't care less about. |

I wouldn't get to excited...unless you are using like SLI with two of the top video cards on the market and a huge chunk of ram as well as a dual core top power processor..

beautiful screens, but looking at the skin of the people they just look funny, and i really do hope this game plays as good as it looks. I just hope that its not another lineage 2 |

Like the previous posts, some of the screens shots are older and have been improved since they were taken. Not only that, this is only the beta settings and still could be improved for retail. I have high hopes for this game, and with all the features listed on their site, graphics are the last thing on my mind (and I absolutely love playing games with rich textures and realistic settings).
