Because Werewolf: The Apocalypse is one of the settings of the OWOD. I have some W:TA stuff including a Red Talon tribe necklace. |

not sure... maybe as a stand-alone expansion considering that they will need a entirely new set of quests/contacts/storyline/items/abilites and so on and so forth
As a free addon expansion... Very unlikley. This have been a good conversation |

What's a Garou? All I care about being able to play are vampires. |

But we are talking about basicly a entire new game... You cant re-use contacts/skills/storyline/ and you need a lot of new art assets unlike Eve were you only need one set of everything.
So if you are making an "new" game why not charge for it.

They should change the game to VTM, no one likes Jacobs. I want to play as an Edward! |

I hope they add it in as an expansion or something later, I always played werewolf rather than vampire. And I seem to recall that an irritated werewolf vs an annoyed vampire usually resulted in a dusty mess and someone calling for an urn? Maybe it wasn't quite that extreme an ending for the poor vampires, but werewolves were definitely less squishy. |

They already said its going to be based on Vampire, I highly doubt you will see any Werewolf stuff being added in. As it is CCP is hurting on funds trying to run EvE with Incarna aswell as work on WoD and Dust 514, they shouldnt be trying to add in werewolf stuff into their vampire game any time soon if they want things to work out well. Mess with the best, Die like the rest |

There's really not that much information out about the game, so we have no right to assume that werewolves will or will not be in the game upon release. It might even end up not seeing the light of day at all. Gamer by nature, |

Originally posted by Golelorn When EVE finally gets walking in stations and has many smooth operating avatars in clubs, bars, and other player environments, we will then most likely start to get more game information on WOD. We will have to wait until the Carbon technology engine is mature and fully functional before we could expect to start getting in depth information for the WOD game. |

Steady girls. We got quite a while til we know anything for sure. To the OP, never put it past CCP to add in some new content. Will it be something you like? That's debatable. I personally am hoping for Garou, Kindred and one other such as Mages, but I agree we probably won't see it for months, even years. I'm tempering my expectations with spending less time playing and more time living my real life. We'll find out soon enough. Playing: BF3 and Skyrim...maybe Darkfall UW |

Originally posted by DarkerFate I fear that your latter point might be the case also really. I have a horrible feeling that it might be somewhat telling that that teaser clip from the Masquerade event last year, is still only available as a shaky off-cam video on youtube. It would be very little hassle for CCP to have that footage uploaded properly - and it's essentially free advertising for them in terms of generating interest for the title. Yet it hasn't happened... I truly hope this does get a release, I think it would be a wonderful title, and baring some shall we say 'strange' business decisions recently, CCP are in the main a good company, that makes well regarded and unique games. But I'm not going to hold my breath :) |

To those who are expecting that it'll be vaporware, let me tell you this. CCP and WhiteWolf don't hype this game, like most other companies. They've shown a small glimpse last year at the great masquerade and they'll be showing news about WoD at the next grand masquerade aswell. All the tech needed for WoD is being developed simultanously with Incarna and walking inn stations and once the tech is there they only need to apply it to WoD. And don't be fooled, they sure are working on WoD alot currently. They've got a whole department of around 100 people only working on WoD, just as they have a department for Dust514. CCP isn't the small company anymore they were some years ago. I wouldn't even call them "indy" anymore, far from that. Does it take them too long? Well, maybe, but we shouldn't forget that developing an MMO isn't done in three years. And the best we know is, that CCP merged with WhiteWolf in late 2006. So a good assumption would be, that CCP started early development (i.e. rough ideas) in 2007. There's alot of games around to fill the gap and time goes by rather quickly anyways if you're working and having a family etc. |

I would love a Werewolf:the Apocolypse game, but there is no way they'll bring Garou straight from that era of werewolf in as they were killing machines. Vampires didn't stand a chance against them in physical combat (the real Garou, not the watered down ones in the Vampire rulebooks as NPCs) |
