Why would you be disappointed? The fact that you'd be able to get an otherwise opposite faction only race would be pretty great... They could just take a typical approach and not allow any other races period. Besides, that would be a fairly exclusive badge of experience to show off to all you encounter. |

Good run-down, MikeB. I'm still on the fence with pre-ordering the CE. Every time I get a CE the game seems to nose-dive and I feel lame. Also, while I'm a big SW fan, I've never been a collector. Also, the less I think about SW:TOR the faster it'll be here and I won't be drooling over the computer day after day waiting for it. If I plan on playing on opening day, and only decide to go with the normal version, should I preorder? Is there any indication that enough won't be shipped to meet initial demands? As for the controversies, I didn't find any of them worrying from my perspective, so it looks like the game is shaping up to be something I'll love. I'm am trying to contain excitment from my old time MMO friends getting in touch and asking if I'll be playing as well. I'm fortunate to live in the USA and rarely having to worry about launch dates and offers. Sorry to our brethren in other countries that have to wait longer. Noone isn't a word; It's "no one". On a side note, you can guess where the word "none" came from. |

Sadly, but truely, I am still using my Cataclysm mouse pad, and still listen on occasion to the Cataclysm soundtrack...so the fact I am still getting limited use out of the CE gear for a game i dont play anymore, I went ahead and figured, WTH, at least the statue might be worth the price of admission someday, unlike my WoW mousepad that is just waiting for a replacement.

Amazon too. I think they are going with the latest possible date, so when they are wrong, then at least costumers who bought at that vendor wont feel cheated. Better to show a later date and have an earlier release, then show an earlier release date and be late by a month or more and have a bunch of pissed off customers who did not realize the game's release date was not set when they pre-ordered and accuse the vendor of mis-leading information. I just hope we get enough advanced notice of a actual release date so i can take some leave during that time.

Highlight "reel" -- er... where's the video? This is just an article with a poorly chosen title. |

A minor detail you all may be leaving out it that They are turning off SWG permenently on Dec.15th 2011. It would be a waste of money to have that game running with SWOR running. I don't believe they will have the Game out before the 15th of December. Gythe Frumple bog was here |

Cross faction chat should be permitted and an option in ALL PvEish MMOs. I can see the reason for not having it in a mainly PvP game. It would be nice to add that extra element of RP in the mmoRPg. |

If beta weekends are not even starting until September .. then November or even December sounds logical for the release to me.
I bought the $150 version so hopefully it will be worth it. Kev |

The highlight for me actually came the day before when they announced that pre-orders were now open..... but only to people in North America and Selected European countries.
Then when queiried why this was we were told the unforgetable news that it was because people outside the chosen regions will not be seeing the game until such time as Bioware & EA decide to allow it with no timeframe & no further news on the subject.
Awesome work guys.

There's something everyone is missing in the pre-order:
Usually when you pre-order a MMO you at least know when it will launch, how much it will cost you.

Whilst I love the highlight reel, what about the blooper reel? Ay? ... Yes?

I am really looking forward to this. I murdered my family so that I could have more free time to play it. |

Strange may be on to something with his November 25th release date. I'm Thinking very late October, Early November, or more likely late November :) |

I do't care about the pre-order issues, but listening to some of the design choices reminded me of 2004. Lack of dual specs (WoW) and "legacy" (CoH) concerns me greatly. I'm for flexability and fun. Forcing me to spin a mouse wheel to get to fun is bad design and it sounds like TOR is taking that route. As for beta, yeah, I want to see the game before I buy it. MMOs and TOR specifically are doing the same thing as every other MMO. They hide behind an NDA until the very end of developement. There's very focused media coverage that may not necessarily represent the game. Recently, AoC, TR and WAR come to mind. Basically, players end up blindly buying a product that they may not be able to even play 30 days later if even the core game doesn't justify a $15/mo investment. Is $50 for previous MMO box and now $60 reasonable for access to the game for 1 month? If you don't worry about it, it's not a problem. |

People have been "SPECULATING" about the Legacy system a long time now. AND EVERYONE SAYS ITLL BE A UNLOCK OF ANOTHER RACE. Lets not pretend you came up with that all by your self there, Mr. Author. You sure are alluding to it, but when called out, will backpeddle.... Sorry, just hate when people try to take credit for something they havent contributed to.... Whatever happened to the IN BIOWARE WE TRUST signatures? |

I wanted to order directly from Origin so I got the Digital Deluxe Edition. I've pre-ordered the last 4-5 MMOs I've tried. And while the $75 price is a bit steep I expect to get my money's worth in entertainment. Besides the only way most of us will get an early peek at the game is through this deal. So If you really are looking forward to it... You just do what you gotta do! :-) |

The biggest discusion on the forums has been over the Red Zone issue, although the last post I saw mentioned they would not be IP or CC blocking, which is good news. |

150 bucks site unseen? I don't have than much faith in Bioware for its first MMO if it can be called that? |

I pre-ordered the CE and that is like 240 $ where I live, but since I plan on playing until the they shut it down I dont mind. :)
Of cause we know all the factors when we pre-ordered, I am just of the mindset that a Bioware game is going to be fun to play from what I have seen and that is enough for me to get it. |
