Here's one that may seem a bit off the wall but the more you think about it the more it seems like it would make a killer MMO...
Get Smart
With everything from the 'Cone of Silence' to 'Rotery Dial Shoe Phones'. You have 2 factions... Control and Kaos. Players would start as recruits for one faction or the other and rank up through mission play. You could have all kinds of zany gadgets and maybe even have some kind of 'invention' system where players could make Gadgets. The world would be your typical 60's dime store spy novel game world. If done right it could be a lot of fun with loads of laughs.

How about a mmo with its own idea for a world. Like what turbine did with Ashersons Call. |

I would kill for an MMO based on Frederik Pohl's Gateway, or the extended Heechee. |

1. Harry Potter: This one would be hard, because I can't think of a single existing MMO system that could actually bring this world to life. For one thing, most spells in the Harry Potter universe are not offensive, which undermines the ost basic convention of the modern MMO (the game is all out fighting). The story, too, would be difficult. How could players get the experience of going to Hogwarts and yet still fight against Voldemort and his ilk? 2. Pokemon: The only problem I can foresee is that PvP would be brutal and the PvP snobs would be going around telling everyone what moves their Pokemon has to have. Look forward to a lot of "Hyper beam suks noob," and "U need mor calcium!" 3. X-Men. I know there is supposedly another shot at making a Marvel online game in the works, but honestly, I would prefer not play a game set in a universe so mismatched and dysfunctional. Narrowing it down to just the mutants means great Brotherhood vs. X-Men PvP, making your own mutant, and most importantly, no aliens or wizards. 4. The Crusades: Okay, I was joking. Religion vs. religion PvP = BAD IDEA. 5. THPS: People have been talking for some time now about a big sports MMO, so why not this one? After all, it already has quests, character customization, pseudo-PvP and potential for huge game areas. |

Originally posted by BoA* I somehow don't see this happening before the last book is released. Then add four years development time minimum ....
It all depends on how the world will be by the end of the third era. My guess is that the circle will become anew, but we don't know of any permanent changes yet (like the taint on saidin in the previous era). |

The ones I'd like to see the most.
Shadowrun Dune Wheel of Time Armored Core or MechWarrior/Battletech. (Something where I can build and customize my own mech and stomp some face since Exteel went under) I would say world of darkness, but that one's being made. |

Originally posted by Xasapis Actually Red Eagle Games has the IP publishing rights for this and has had a series of games based on the books, including an mmo in the works since 2009. It's been very quiet since the announcement however. Linky:- http://thewertzone.blogspot.com/2011/07/new-wheel-of-time-rpg-what-do-we-know.html |

I thought of another untapped IP... The Tick! Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority. |

Baywatch - you PvP with other players on the beach, and whoever wins gets to watch the slow motion video of the lifeguard coming to resuscitate the fallen player. (the loser only gets a black screen until they are revived) All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick. |

Well in terms of the IPs potential success, the obvious pick is StarCraft, without contest. |
