So the launch date for North America is today? That's awesome. I thought it was still unannounced, playable in Europe only. |

Time to go back to it and start building a space station that won't be deleted in the Beta Wipe :) |

No hype, little fanfare, game "launches", just like that. What's the catch? Yet another under-funded indie effort that needs revenue to survive? Or is there a full MMORPG there to play? "What gamers want ... is new game play patterns different from what they've experienced before" - Axehilt |

A friend of mine downloaded this game in the open beta just to try it out and I stopped by at his place to give it a go myself. I don't know much about. What I do know is that when I tried it the controls were so unbelievably squirrely that it was literally unplayable. I'm not joking and I'm not being spitefull. I sat down to try it with no pre-concieved notions because I hadn't been following the game's development at all. My friend said he had already done everything he could to try improve the control when flying the ship. Well, it didn't help because it was truely awfull. Seriously, I don't think I've ever played any other game; single player, co-op, or MMO that had worse controls than this game. After that I didn't bother learning anything more about it. |

Neanderthal, what you're saying is total crap or at least nothing more then a personal opinion I personally thought the controls where spot on, it took a little getting used to and i loved them after that, so you're either really hating on this game, or both of you just plain suck at it. |

Originally posted by marinrider I'm just telling it as I experienced it. I don't know enough about the game to hate it. I never would have even tried it if my friend hadn't downloaded it for the open beta. I also will freely admit that I didn't spend much time with it. I spent maybe 20 minutes trying to fly around and it was so ridiculously bad that I couldn't take any more of it after that. If it's not like that for other people then I don't know what the problem was. My friend has a pretty new computer so I wouldn't think it's his machine causing the problem but who knows. All I know is that what we tried on his computer was so bad we were both shaking our heads at how awfull it was. |

The controls are one of the better aspects of this game, especially when compared to similar free offerings such as BSG Online. |

Yeah i thought the controls were fine, what i couldnt handle was the ammount of lag in the pvp areas, but maybe that was just beta "no it wasnt my connection, was constant", if they got that sorted then it would be a really nice game, just quite a few complaints ive seen about the way the cash shop works, but i didnt really use it, as i only played it for a week. |

I was totally surprised to here this released. I had been watching it at some point and forgot about it, but I remember it looked cool. Looking forward to seeing some review threads here from you all. |

Yeah, controls were fine for me as well, with the keyboard and mouse. Took a minute to learn the keybindings and I was good. It was the depth of the game that turned me off. Granted I did not get extremely far in the game, but in the time I spent in closed and open beta, there just didn't seem to be a whole lot to the game. Just some missions, choose a faction, do some meaningless pvp, etc. I KNOW there is more, but just what I saw did not entice me to look for more. I'll give it a go again someday. However due to Steam's recent summer sale, that may be a while!

ive been playing this game sence the start of closed beta its very fun and gives something new besides EVE online
and the controls are just fine and if you think its so bad id like to see you make better controlls in fact be happy theres another space mmo besides EVE the space/sifi genre is my favorite type of game and these games are hard to come by for reasons of how to play making controlls for a space game is not easy and takes more work on then making the games universe its self. So instead of giving this game bad rep rethink on how hard it is to make a space game and the hard work it took to do this stuff |

Not releasing a video game in a particular country is not racist unless they come out with a press-release that states "We are not releasing this game in South America because we hate black people". They can have a lot of reasons for not releasing something in a particular region, but it isn't going to be based on racial opinion. How would they know the race of the people buying a game? They can't, so it can't be racist.
If they discriminate due to nationality then that's another thing. Still not likely though, and unfortunately within their professional rights even if they do. I think every company in the world only releases their products in specific countries. |

Wow, don't dare make a comment contrary to the fanboi ethos. They will eat you alive. Sorry Neanderthal. The forum for posting your opinion without being told you suck is the next website on the right. |

I've been playing the EU version on/off for a month or two now and I'm having fun, and yes, the controls are pretty poor (not up to par with Vendetta Online, for example) However, my major complaint resides with the cash shop and the fact that absolutely nothing in it is of any interest to me, I don't particularly want items that might make the mind numbingly bad crafting system actually work, XP boosts? meh. It seems that if you don't care about staying ultra competitive in PvP or crafting then the cash shop is somewhat superflous. --------------------------------------- |

The controls are fine, the problem is most likely lag, which really was bad, didn't play it in a while, because the main problem was the missing story. The tutorial is really done well, but after that, there was no story, and just flying arond for the sake of flying around is boring. Also, i don't get why some complain about the cash shop. Isn't it good if there is nothing you would want in there? Means, you do not have to pay money to enjoy the game. I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high |
