Well, I find it kinda offensive that they animate stuff like this but not let us see stuff like jewelry on our avatars. Ok, the reason for that might be that all guys in MMOs tend to wear earrings and similar less than maskuline things and if they showed it we would see how silly that actually is but still. Imagine Conan wearing all the stuff any barbarian wears in AoC at 80...

If the dev team have some time over I have no problem with it, but when they actually direct resources they need for other stuff I find it offensive, because it is so damn stupid.

I am European so the mechanics in itself doesn't make me raise an eyebrown.

I think the "Gainax Bounce" belongs more in Anime & Games for which it is appropriate (DOA?), in MMOs, I honestly don't notice it either way.

I mean, (1) I tend to play male characters (people assuming I'm female because my character is bug me), (2) when I do play female I tend to minimise the bust, (3) I have yet to play an MMO (or any other game) where the primary view is a 3rd Person camera looking at your own front, (4) if I want to be a pervert the Internet offers much more rewarding avenues.

As if getting laid changes your ideas of what is pleasing to look at in an MMORPG, which I seriously doubt.

Today I like boob physics in a game, but I got laid, now I don't like it.

I"m pretty sure it doesn't work that way.

I say if the game is polished enough then why not add in this bonus feature.

Haha, yeah why not :). Aslong as it's not stupidly over-the-top jiggling and wobbling everywhere, if that's what I wanted I'd play a bit of real life n party up with a bed buddy :P

I want to see breasts smashing my toon in the face, whenever I run/jog.  A slight 'jiggle' when I walk would be fine.

Not offensive, just a waste of effort that could be better spent improving areas of the game. The sheer amount of jiggle that some of these games add is downright uncomfortable to watch. It's not about being prudish, it's about being practical. If I'm swinging a sword around the last thing I want is my boobs smacking me in the face.

Well then what is the real issue? That a part of the human  body that nornally moves "moves" or that the artists make them move (and draw attention to them) in an absurd way?

What you are essentially doing is throwing the baby out with the bath water. And also making assumptions that it takes "so much effort and manpower". Let's put it this way, A player made a mod where the women's chests will slightly move while walking. It's a player mod. I assume that player had to work or go to school or "do whatever" so if a player can do this in his/her off time then I think a professional developer should have no problem doing this.

In any case, it's like sex scenes in movies. Sometimes they make sense and are done well. Sometimes they feel awkward because they are so poorly done (I'm looking at you watchmen! Put your clothes on and go into the corner and think about what you've done).

So getting back to your point, why couldn't a developer/artist just make it more natural and not have them flying every which way but loose? Wouldn't that solve the problem of being uncomfortable watching a female character and the "alt" character hanging on its chest?

and I imagine that if one is wearing any decent armor there would be very little movement. I imagine that medium armor probably acts like a sports bra and heavey armor covers everything up anyways.

It's those cheeky cloth wearers you have to watch out for. li'l devils!

That's more than we got to agree on gender locked classes, lack of jumping/swimming and cross-gender avatars.

I think animations should be upgraded in a plethora of way.  Better animated hair?  Yes please.  Some breathing?  Thank you.

Adding rings and earrings and what not as visual touches on characters?  Great!  Loved that in Lost Odyssey (Though it ruins the seriousness of a funeral cut scene when you're wearing bunny ears....)

I don't think it's an 'either/or' situation.  Where if you approve of boob physics, you're saying 'Other visual touches are a nono, all I want is a stick figure with as well rendered breasts as possible'.

I also am not asking for magical bouncing breasts that bounce through any level of coverage possible.  Breast physics in many Korean games freaks me out.

Wasnt it red light center or something like that?  And theres a F2p game where your armor can break revealing your bewbies n stuff.  I forgot the name though...It was an adult f2p mmo and there were topless harpies as well as enemies n stuff like that

I voted yes, but in the context of a better over-arching physics system:  soft body physics for both female and male (even buffed up body builders jiggle when they run), advanced cloth physics that move and stretch and fold/bunch up with movement without wierd clipping or artifacting issues, deformable objects and terrain, etc.
